We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operational Support Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, organising events, and promoting the school’s programs and initiatives to enhance community engagement and enrollment.

The Operational Support Specialist is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and proper functioning of school buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and functional environment for students and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building systems to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Repairs: Handle basic repairs including fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, painting, and other minor repairs as needed.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure that all work areas and facilities are kept clean, safe, and organized. Address hazards and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Equipment Management: Monitor and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working order and regularly serviced.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of assets.
• Groundskeeping: Maintain the exterior of the premises, including lawn care, snow removal, and general outdoor maintenance.
• Assisting with Setup and Teardown: Provide assistance with setup and teardown of events, furniture rearrangement, and other related activities.
• Vendor Coordination: Assist in coordinating with external service providers for specialized maintenance tasks or repairs.
• Inventory Control: Keep track of supplies and materials required for maintenance tasks and order replacements as necessary.

Qualifications:

OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Technical Manager, it will be a fairly independent role, with the provision of necessary resources, authorities and an open environment for communications. He/she will provide a broad scope of skills across engineering, service, outsourcing, project management and technical sales proposals (when required). He/she will be responsible for the customer satisfaction, employee engagement and optimization of the business delivery in Asia Pacific. This is an entry to mid-level position in the company.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

•Support the Field Service team projects on installation, upgrade, maintenance of(waste)water equipment and systems

•Support plant start-up & commissioning activities, troubleshooting on site

•Coordinate and support on-site operations of pilot-scale water treatment systems, whileproviding technical support and troubleshooting, collecting, analyzing and evaluatingperformance data to optimize the system operation

•Write and prepare progress & monitoring reports, proposals related to projects

•Supports Project Management and Process Engineering under the direction of the TechnicalManager, reviewing project specifications and requirements, working together with thevarious disciplines for smooth execution of projects

QUALIFICATIONS

•Diploma or Degree in preferred field of Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering orother advanced education qualification, highly preferred in the area of Water & WasteWaterTreatment Technologies (desalination & membrane technology experience an addedadvantage)

•Minimum 2 years of (waste)water treatment process and operation experience, with preferredexperience (min 1 year) of pilot-scale testing and operation, with laboratory analysisexperience an added advantage

•Experience in Control/Instrumentation (E&I) and troubleshooting will be an added advantage

•Ability to work effectively and independently in both office and field environments

•Cross-cultural sensitivity: ability to understand business conditions and government/regulatory issues in the Asia Pacific region

•Willingness to travel in the Asia Pacific region

•Fluent in English (verbal & written) with excellent communication and presentation skills

•Approach tasks with a sense of urgency, but capable of setting priorities among competingprojects

•Skilled at utilization of Auto-CAD and the Microsoft suite of Office Software (includingMicrosoft Project)
