Position Overview
We are seeking a Biotech analyst to join our innovative life sciences efforts. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between quantum computing and biological research, developing quantum algorithms and applications for drug discovery, protein folding, and genomic analysis.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and implement quantum algorithms specifically for biological computing problems, such as molecular modeling and protein structure prediction
· Collaborate with computational biologists and wet lab scientists to translate biological problems into quantum computing solutions
· Optimize existing classical bioinformatics workflows for quantum environments
· Develop and maintain quantum software applications for processing large-scale biological datasets
· Create simulation tools to validate quantum algorithms before deployment on quantum hardware
· Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive code documentation
· Stay current with advances in both quantum computing and biotechnology fields
Required Qualifications
· Minimum degree in Biotechnology/ bio-informatics/ biology
· At least one year’s experience of working in bio-pharma/ biotech sector.
· Background or experience in biological sciences, bioinformatics, or computational biology
· Experience with biological data analysis and statistical methods
· Understanding of molecular biology concepts and biological data structures
· Strong programming experience in Python
· Solid understanding of linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and quantum information theory
Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge of classical bioinformatics tools and algorithms
· Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their quantum counterparts
· Basic knowledge cloud computing platforms and high-performance computing
· Basic knowledge of quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
· Familiarity with quantum algorithms and quantum circuit design
· Experience with version control systems (Git) and software development best practices
Technical Skills
· Programming Languages: Python, C++, and quantum programming frameworks
· Bioinformatics Tools: Knowledge of common bioinformatics software and databases
· Data Analysis: R, Python scientific stack (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)
· Quantum Computing Tools: Qiskit, Cirq, Q#, or similar quantum development kits
Soft Skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and biological concepts
· Ability to work in cross-functional teams with scientists and researchers
· Strong project management and organization skills
· Adaptability to rapidly evolving technology landscapes
