Key Responsibilities

• Organize, monitor, and ensure manufacturing processes run efficiently with minimal costs using manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital wisely.
• Start, implement, and manage process improvement programs based on best practices in the metal drum industry, focusing on productivity and product quality.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with the HR department to address employee grievances promptly.
• Conduct employee performance reviews to gauge the competency, knowledge, and contribution of maintenance technicians and engineering staff.
• Maintain work safety practices and continually enhance safety records by addressing physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
• Keep all areas clean and organized.
• Evaluate, train, and maintain individual skills to stay updated with the best engineering management practices.
• Ensure timely submission of overtime records to the HR department for monthly salary calculations.
• Establish and prepare process documentation, such as work instructions, process specifications, and assist with the quality plan.
• Prepare reports, analyse data, and make recommendations to improve plant operations and solve production issues.
• Ensure subordinates are trained, equipped, and motivated to accomplish the maintenance program safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
• Communicate regularly with all production and maintenance teams to ensure good two-way communication about production and maintenance issues.
• Assist in hiring production personnel.
• Maintain and update operating manuals for all manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Perform any other projects or tasks assigned by the HOD/Management.

Job Scope

Duties & Responsibilities:

Principal

• Occasionally establishes and prepares basis of design and/or estimation and design philosophy and requirements prior to execution of electrical detailed engineering works.
• Occasionally performs electrical system studies including value engineering to determine most cost-effective design but still conforms to Client requirements.
• Normally prepares key electrical engineering documents like Key Single Line Diagrams, Conceptual Layouts, Substation Layouts and, system diagrams for Fire Alarm and Communication Systems in accordance with Client and Project requirements to facilitate the execution of electrical detailed engineering works.
• Normally prepares specifications, data sheets, requisitions, technical evaluation reports and vendor data review of major substation electrical equipment in accordance with Client and project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Normally establishes estimation basis and prepares technical proposals for proposal projects in accordance with Client requirements and acceptable estimation and engineering practices.
• Normally coordinates with other discipline, vendors and/or sub-contractors to ensure conformity with project and Client requirements.
• Normally acts as KP of medium to large sized standard projects, exceeding 5,000 electrical engineering manhours.
• Perform discipline project control (schedule, BM/BQ & manhour) when assigned as Project Lead Engineer.
• Assists in implementation of Department training programs by functioning as a “trainer” or "mentor".
• Supports major phase of construction work, can assume responsibility as the Electrical Site Superintendent, Electrical QA/QC in charge, and Lead Field Engineer.
• Acts as the home base Lead Support Engineer when the major phase of the project has been shifted to site, such as purchasing of additional major equipment / material, coordinate / expedite vendors for the immediate supply of material exceptions, resolving major engineering conflicts within the approved specifications.
• Participates in site survey/ investigation of existing facilities to clarify feasibility of the design
• Participate in factory acceptance tests of electrical equipment to confirm suitability of equipment and ensure that the equipment is manufactured according to the agreed specifications.
• Performs other functions that may be assigned by superiors.

Competencies / Preferred Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills, AutoCAD and/or Microstation and common electrical calculation software.
• Familiar with local and international electrical codes, standards and regulations.
• Proficient in the design of electrical systems for oil/petroleum/industrial infrastructure industries.
• Familiar with ETAP and e-DPP software.
• Proficient in substation energization work.

Education Qualifications and other Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 15 years and above experience in electrical detailed engineering works of Oil & Gas, petrochemical and other related industrial plants, including five (5) or more years in frontend engineering and proposal / estimation works and additional five (5) or more years infield engineering works.

Scope:

• Coordinate project execution, including operations, maintenance, resource allocation, contractor management, and client communication for Google data center projects.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
• Review technical specifications, including single-line diagrams, operation sequences, control schematic drawings, and operational test procedures.
• Act as a secondary point of contact for contractors.
• Assist in ensuring that all project activities adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and standards.
• Support project managers in fulfilling on-site requirements and managing project activities.
• Assist in coordinating and testing 22kV low-voltage switchgear and DC systems.
• Utilize BIM software to address site issues, manage documentation, and track project concerns.

Degree/Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Engineering, specializing in software development.

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience software development.
• Proficient in C/C++, Java, C#, Python, Javascript etc is a plus
• Study/Analysis, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain business application systems.
• Participate in the full system development life cycle with application design, development, implementation, and production support.
• Analyse business requirements and transform them into technical design.
• Implement the technical design, develop application programs and test the functional requirements.
• Conduct user training on application systems and provide on-going production support
• Experience working with AGV projects will be highly advantageous.
• Graduate with intention of going further study within 1 year need not apply. Applicants doing part-time study need not apply, as this job requires learning on the job

- SYSTEM Virtual Machine, Docker, Kubernetes. Knowledge in Linux, Windows server
- CLOUD/IOT for knowledge in Azure, AWS, Google, IoT protocols such as MQTT, HTTP. Wireless protocols such as NB-IoT, LoRa. Hardware experience in MicroControllers, SoC, FPGA.
