Software Engineer (Devices)

Responsibilities:

• Requirements gathering; Design and develop software applications for embedded devices
• Implement and optimize communication protocols to establish secure and reliable connections between embedded devices and on-premises/cloud platforms
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging and troubleshooting of embedded devices to identify and resolve issues related to functionality, connectivity, performance and reliability
• Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Document, Design Specification etc
• Assist day-to-day application support issues; Liaise with users on the requirement testing and production issues

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Computing, Computer Science, Technology or relevant with experience in at least one full Software Development Lifecycle
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in object-oriented software development with experience in C++ on Embedded platforms (e.g. QNX, Vxworks, Embedded Linux)
• Experience in writing Requirements Specification, Use Cases, Design Documentation, and designing software using object-oriented software design and UML modelling
• Experience in multi-threading, socket programming and serial/USB communication
• Prior experience in Scrum Agile methodology process is a plus; Develop and integrate embedded devices with cloud platforms

Responsibilities

• Research in the short-range wireless technology innovations and applications, and undertake one or more of the following responsibilities:
• Research the innovation of system architecture and key technologies of short-range wireless, gain insights on the technologies and trends of short-range wireless, and assist experts in making judgments and planning.
• Propose efficient solutions for algorithms and problems related to short-range wireless and carry out related verifications.
• Learn the standards related to short-range wireless, propose improvement solutions to the key problems, and carry out relevant verifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Communications, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science, Automation, and other relevant studies.
• Have a background related to wireless communications.
• Familiar with signal & system, signal processing, optimization theory, circuit design, etc.
• Familiar with short-range wireless communication systems and have relevant algorithms, protocols, and simulation experience.
• Able to design, implement, or verify key algorithms, protocols, and systems for short-range wireless communications independently
• Have good independent research capability and excellent technical insight with innovative ideas.

Requirements:

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic with more than 5 years of working experience in engineering design consulting practice on Building Services projects

· Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board with more than 3 years of working experience in engineering design consulting practice on Building Services projects.

· Being a Professional Engineer is an advantage.

· Strong project technical knowledge and design softwares

· Good supervision and project management skills

· Excellent with local codes and authority submission procedures

· Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills

· Lead team of staff for successful delivery of projects

· Strong analytical skills would be preferred

Responsibilities:

· Develop and Collaborate on IoT products and solution in cloud based IoT Platform by interfacing Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Battery Management System (BMS).

· Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance of IoT Cloud Software stack in Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Battery Management System (BMS).

· You should be familiar with the operation of ESS (Energy Storage Systems) and implement various energy and battery management graphs and data display and will need to have passion for battery and energy management solutions.

· You should follow software development lifecycle practices including design and reviews, testing and regression, revision control, and user documentation.

Requirements:

· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in computer/electronics engineering or relevant discipline with minimum 2 years of relevant professional development experience.

· Must have software development experience in C/C++, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, JSON and SQL or other relevant programming languages.
