McConnell Dowell South East Asia is looking to hire a Project Engineer for a major civil infrastructure project in Singapore.

About the Role

• Assisting Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager with daily site activities.
• Monitoring/reporting site progress (direct employees and subcontract works).
• Formulation of procedures for construction activities.
• Plan the works and develop look-a-head programmes.
• Liaise with the design coordination team to resolve technical discrepancies including preparing and submitting technical queries and meeting with design consultants as required.
• Manage the schedule of shop drawings and monitor the output of drafters.
• Plan the equipment and material requirements and raise purchase requisitions as required.
• Mentor and manage Site Engineers assigned to your zone/works areas.
• Review the authority approvals required (BCA, Utility Clearances, etc) ahead of the works and ensure submissions are made such that the clearances can be achieved before works start.

About You

• Degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant on-site civil construction experience with project management skills.
• Preferably with experience and knowledge in the civil infrastructure works field.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work alternate 6 days work week.
• This is a short-term contract employment.

Service Engineer is responsible for providing the company's after-sales technical and services supports. Provide technical advices, recommend scheduled overhauls, life cycle parts replacement. Assist in product roll-out and start-up, maintain current equipment and resolve faults as required. Ensure 24x7 standby services through a rotational duty schedule. May provide supports in a pre-sale through post-sale capacity. Product include but not limtied to transformer, medium voltage switchgear, Ring-Main-Unit (RMU), Air-Circuit-Breaker (ACB)

A. Responsible for technical and administrative support activities including installation, testing, commissioning, repair, modifications, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, engineering change upgrades, etc
B. Hands-on experience of electrical SWBD and system assembly & installation.
C. Experience in handling tools and equipment used electrical testing. (E.g Primary Current Injection Test set, Secondary Injection Test set, Contact Resistance, Insulation Resistance Test set, Dielectric withstand test set)
D. Ensures adequate records and systems are maintained. Maintains communication with design management and specialists in resolving technical problems and/or bringing problems to the design department’s attention
E. Responsible for specific service contract/s as the single point of contact interfacing into customer organization, while working with sales prime to drive addition sales in those specific service contract/s (including 24x7)
F. Accountable to customer relationship to deliver best in class services delivered to drive service quality to new height
G. Responsible for timely, professional, accurate and service oriented response to all technical service enquires
H. Identify and isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action

JOB SUMMARY

Duties include generating PCR and engineering drawing and exploring alternate solution to solve resource or production constrain. He is also responsible to plan, organize and manage assigned project activities. This requires direct interaction with customer, vendors and functional departments to monitor and ascertaining all jobs are progressing within schedule and meeting deadline.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Understand the full requirements of all manufacturing and improvement project. Follow up on the kick start, execution, monitoring and work closely with related personnel to resolve issues until the completion of the project.
• Perform technical review on sales order and work closely with the sales department or customer to clarify all technical specifications and job requirements on the sales order.
• Generate PCR and manufacturing process plan.
• Generate engineering drawings and perform drafting.
• Support Asst. Engineering Manager on the job costing.
• Continuously explore for new manufacturing method or new external providers to support the production.
• Work closely with the Production Supervisor to resolve any production issue.
• Support the procurement department to deal with external providers on all technical issues.
• Understand and be aware of the impact of each activity to the company, its environment and minimize any detrimental results.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures.
• Ensure company and QHSE policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Participate/ attend all functions, activities and meeting organized by the company.
• Familiar with various laser systems as well as advance welding/cladding technique.
• Experience in robot programming for welding/laser cladding.
• Perform other assignment and duties as and when required.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Degree preferably in Manufacturing/ Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in the metal machining or oil and gas industries.

Requirement

• Familiar with devices like Cisco, Huawei, Fortinet or Palo Alto Cisco ASA
• Experience in various firewalls
• Certification in CCNA would be an advantage
• Strong analytical, good organization skill, and team player
• Possess good communication skill
• Possess a proactive attitude and customers oriented
