To perform NDT inspection in Rolls-Royce Seletar premises in an efficient and effective manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify surface or very near surface discontinuities in a weld or critical area of engine component using Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Inspection.
• Use Portable handheld scanning technique to detect surface and subsurface defects.
• Perform FPI and inspect under UV light for flaws open to the surface such as cracks, laps, etc.
• Perform Binocular Inspection which is capable of viewing up to 40X magnification.
• Monitor the usage and performed calibration on NDT equipment and measuring instrumentation.
• Ensure all tasks achieve agreed quality standards and deadlines in line with customer OEM and Company requirements.
• Work within NDT team to achieve optimum levels of performance, being particularly aware of On-Time Delivery.
• Ensure that processes and procedures are followed to ensure all tasks are performed efficiently and to the required quality standards.

• Able to set-up, operate and maintain Shot Peen/ Media Finish / Balancing machines
• Able to perform simple troubleshooting of machines
• Possesses Conventional machining, peening, inspection skills and knowledge
• Read and follow established procedures and work instruction
• Responsible for performing an assessment of risk of his/ her activities, taking corrective and preventive actions
• Require to maintain day to day 6s activities.
• Willing to work cross-functional areas.
• Compliance with Company Code of Ethics and Export regulation
• Support and participate in EH&S, Quality & CORE activities
• Involve in continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives
• Additional tasking as required by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC in Precision/ Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering
• 2 years of relevant working experience in Shot Peening/ Media Finish/ Balancing preferably in aviation industry
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts / permanent 2nd and permanent 3rd shift

Key responsibilities

· Test and troubleshoot instruments, components and assemblies using appropriate Test equipment.

· Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.

· Carry out Avionic Modifications including new wiring installations.

· Complete all tasks in the allotted time frame and to the quality standards of our company.

· Promote safety within the workplace by monitoring others and yourself to guarantee all tasks are performed within the safety manual guidelines, and communicate with other mechanics and supervisors to coordinate repairs and keep apprised of safety concerns.

· Keep records of maintenance and repair work. Maintain repair or maintenance records.

· Order supplies, equipment, materials and parts for repairs and general maintenance.

· Keep detailed records of the inspections performed, repairs finished, maintenance procedures and ordered parts.

· Carry out schedule servicing, and troubleshooting and defect rectification.

· Carry our good housekeeping and observe all Health and Safety Procedure.

· Any Ad-hoc assignment as assigned by Supervisor or Managers.

Qualification / Expertise / Skills

• Minimum NITEC / Higher Nitec , Diploma in Aerospace Electronics / Aerospace Avionics.
• At least 2 years of experiences practical and documented aircraft maintenance experience.
• Those with experience on any of the following types; Fokker 100, ATR, E190 or B737,A320 would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Base Maintenance activities would be an added advantage
