Overview

What you will be working on

• Design, Build, Secure and Operate emerging mainframe technologies and processes.
• Manage service level of mainframe systems and tracking problem management on mainframe issue.
• Perform review of system changes, processes, and routine system monitoring.
• Monitor emerging technology trends as it relates to the mainframe computing environment and recommends adoption of new technologies/methodologies when appropriate.

What we are looking for

• Extensive hands-on experience and knowledge of z/OS, System/Storage management and tools.
• Minimum 8 years’ working experience in mainframe infrastructure administration specialising in z/OS, CICS, Mainframe network; or in two or more of the following software or systems:

a. Operations Software (e.g., IBM Systems Automation, Netview, IBM Workload Scheduler, IBM Engineering Workflow Management)

b. Enterprise Storage & related software (e.g., Metro-Mirror, Flash Copy, Safe-Guarded Copy, SKLM, EMC TimeFinder, SRDF, Luminex VTL, RMM)

c. Communication and Monitoring Software (TCPIP, VTAM, zSecure Suite, Omegamon Suite)

d. Middleware Software (CICS, CICS Liberty, MQ Series)

• Install, configure, and maintain z/OS and other system software.
• Practical experience in IBM System Automation and IBM Work Scheduler will be advantageous.
• Experience in supporting disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Good to have programming experience in REXX
• Proven strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions.
• Good decision-making skills when dealing with multiple alternatives is required.

Main duties and responsibilities:

· Perform repair and maintenance on all the company's mechanical and electrical machinery, tools, and equipment, and ensure they are kept in good working condition.

· Maintain a proper spare parts register to ensure the availability of spare parts;

· To troubleshoot, repair and perform regular preventative maintenance on all plant motors and other related equipment.

· Update all daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance checklists accurately;

· Promotes plant safety and ensures compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations.

· Any other jobs as assigned by the head of department.

Requirements:

· Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent;

· Minimum of 2 - 3 years of machinery repair experience;

· Physical fit and flexible to work on extra hour when required.
