1. Perform first article inspection.

2. Prepare and update FAI report.

3. Review 2D product design drawing for measurement issues.

4. Review and discuss with supplier to fabricate measuring jig & fixtures.

5. Ensure and maintain measuring equipment/instrument are calibrated and well controlled.

6. Review FAI report together with project engineer.

7. Ensure all measuring equipments are well maintained.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

The patching cabling between network equipment and client’s network

The installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet

The installation, troubleshooting and de-installing IT equipment (Servers / Network /

Storage / etc)

o Install/swap out devices (e.g., phone, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches and etc.)

Complete all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levels

Act as interface between client’s associates and management

Provide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure

Perform onsite call-through, data, voice, website and security testing

Perform back-up testing to ensure all systems are connected to the client’s network as directed

Support carrier testing of circuits

Assist with facilities efforts such as vendor coordination and vendor supervision

o Power and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) restoral

o Water problems,

o Emergency cooling restoration,

o Fire suppression exercises, restoration, and post fire events

Support inventory management activities

o Receiving inventory

o Tagging of assets

o Tracking spares (crash kits)

o Ordering inventory

o Updating inventory records

o Prepare and return damaged equipment

Act as an interface, as needed, between associates at the applicable location and centralized project / operations / MAC management

Requirements:

Must be proficient in utilizing technical tools such as BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers.

Requires experience in working in communications closets

o Must be able to perform rack and stack activities

Must be able to safely lift heavy objects

o Must understand cable patching processes and procedures in copper and fiber

o Experience in either or both CommScope and Corning structured cables (copper and fiber)

o Must have a basic knowledge of data communications networking.

Must be able to assist in troubleshooting issues

Must understand network terminology

Requires good interpersonal communications skills

o Must be able to explain technical issues in a way the client will understand an

issue

o Must be able to interpret a client’s issue in a way that will allow technician to facilitate a resolution

Education/Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Centre operations and environment
• Must have a basic knowledge of local and wide area networking.
• High school Diploma or equivalent required

Requirements:

· Candidate must possess at least NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

· Experience in Material Handling/ Automation/ Conveyor systems would be an Advantage.

· Able to read & understand Electrical Drawings or has PLC Controlled Systems Knowledge would be an Advantage.

· Proficient in MS Word and Excel

· Perform Equipment Maintenance works according to Manufacturer’s Maintenance Instruction/Work Procedure and approved maintenance checklists.

· Carry out minor repair work as part of Preventive Maintenance work.

· Assist Supervisor during major repair work.

· To carry out ad-hoc duties assigned by Superiors.
