Job Description

• Manage two laboratories and ensure that the equipment, tools and other materials are adequately stocked and kept in working condition.
• Carry out termly stock take
• Liaise with teachers to prepare, set up and clear up the experiments and practical demonstrations
• Assist in preparing resources for other Science related matters e.g. Science competition and eco-guardian activities
• Assist in germinating the seeds for the school’s hydroponics system
• Watering of plants on the racks near the Science laboratory
• Feeding of fish at the Eco-pond and at the greenhouse at level 4

Requirements

• Minimally Primary School qualifications
• Meticulous with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently and troubleshoot problems
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience and familiar with safety requirements in science laboratories at Primary Schools.

Working hours

• Mondays to Fridays: 7.45 am to 2.00 pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
