About You

You will report to Service Engineer and be part of the service team. You are responsible to provide technical support for servicing, maintaining and repairing of elevators and/ or escalators as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair the elevators, escalators and mechanical-parking systems that includes checking, oiling, greasing, mechanical adjustment, trouble-shooting, testing of safety devices, inspection and parts recommendation and replacement in accordance to local code of practice
• Demonstrate understanding and compliance of Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) procedures
• Attend to breakdown maintenance calls at various job sites
• Support Service Operations Team to achieve department objectives on service sales targets and service quality standards

Requirement

• Diploma/ Higher Nitec in Vertical Transportation/ Engineering or relevant disciplines
• A valid CoC Certification
• Min. 2 years of work experiences in servicing and maintaining elevators and escalators
• Basic English Proficiency
• Team player, adaptable and agile

· Provide repair, servicing for building systems & facility maintenance records for traceability needs.

· Supervise term contractors in repair and testing of M&E services.

· Attend to fault reports, breakdowns, and customer service requests.

· Ensure compliance with building and fire safety rules.

· Responsible in overseeing all aspects of safety to ensure compliance to the Workplace and Health Act and other safety related statutory legislations.

· Conducting audits in facilities on relevant risks and support and work with facilities to mitigate these risks.

· Maintaining comprehensive schedules, records and reports on safety and environment management activities.

· Monitor and escort external sub-contractors in carrying out repair and maintenance works within SKTC’s premises.

· To provide support to Property Officers to manage the day-to-day estate operational matters in the Division.

· Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance.

· Work closely with Procurement and Admin department to be cost efficient for repair and maintenance tasks.

· Any other related duties as instructed by your HOD

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly, testing and basic trouble shooting of instruments.
• Manufacturing process materials quality control.

• Meet production quantity targets as per daily production plan.

Requirements

• Higher NITEC/NITEC in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering.

Element has an opportunity for a Metallurgy Technician. In this role, your primary responsibility is to perform routine, metallurgical, mechanical, failure, corrosion testing facilitating metallurgy operations at site or at a laboratory.

This role is based in Tuas location.

Job Duties:

• Perform routine mechanical testing (tensile, bend, charpy impact, hardness) including CTOD and metallurgical testing (micro / macro examinations) Involvement in site / field testing
• Coordinating with the technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule and assist with hazard identification and risk assessment exercises within their areas of responsibility
• Conduct either or combination of testing, analysis, calibration, monitoring, sampling and collection and sample preparation as directed
• Carry out routine laboratory tests, analysis, machining or preparation in line with authorized technical competence
• Carry out daily sample collection and ensure work compliance to ISO 17025 requirements

Job Description:

• Possess a minimum of Diploma in Metallurgy or related discipline, with 2-4 years of relevant working experience
• Good knowledge on international standards and codes
• Possess driving licence
• Good communication skills
