• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to the lifting crew on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
• Verify that the lifting supervisor (LS), crane operator, signalman, and riggers understand their roles in ensuring safe lifting operations.
• Establish and manage a system for the maintenance and inspection of all lifting-related equipment, including gears, appliances, points, and machinery.
• Ensure all statutory equipment undergoes regular inspection and maintenance, with proper documentation.
• Communicate safety concerns and updates to the project team.
• Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
• Perform safety audits and inspect lifting gears, machinery, insurance, and safety equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Order and maintain safety inventory, including supplies and equipment.

(B) Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience.
• Completed the Appointed Persons - Lifting Operations Course conducted by IES or an equivalent course.

(C) Personality:

• Strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence various stakeholders and build long term relationships.
• Ability to lead Construction staff and to provide supervision to the staff.

(D) Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities:

• Understanding of lifting operations and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with crane and lifting equipment specifications and maintenance.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements for lifting equipment inspections and certifications.
• Awareness of industry best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in conducting safety audits and inspections.

(E) Physical Demand (if applicable):

• Able to work outdoor and climb ladders and stairs.
• Active and able to run swiftly if an emergency situation arises.

Requirements

• 1-2 years working experience in Electrical, Lighting / CCTV / building automation
• Working experience with Lutron, KNX Lighting Control Systems
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• NITEC/Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Information Technology/ Computer Science or equivalent
