Job Description

• Develop and review project plans, designs, and specifications for railway systems, including SCADA, COMMS, signalling, electrical systems, and civil works.
• Familiar with construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Resolve technical and operational challenges during project implementation.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including system interface design document, site construction drawing, technical specifications.
• Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Prepare to do shift work
• On-site work is required

Key Qualifications

Education:

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in railway or infrastructure project engineering.

Skill Requirement:

• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• MS Office
• Strong understanding of railway standards and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in LTA-MRT projects.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
• Knowledgeable in Putty, WinSCP, Wireshark
• Knowledgeable in communication protocol, e.g., TCP/IP, Modbus

• Project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations.
• To be overall in charge of the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s)
• To provide administrative control on the site staff, instil and maintain discipline, and punctuality, keep daily records of staff attendance, keep records and process the staff leave entitlement, sick leave, in-camp training and other matter concerning the site staff administrative matters, discipline and welfare.
• To oversee in all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and submitting records.
• To provide full support and assistance, as and when directed by the Superintending Officer.
• To check and assess temporary works by the Contractor to ensure that the works are safe and in compliance with all relevant Regulations.
• To ensure that Contractor’s working procedure complies with the agreed method statement and relevant workplace safety and health regulations and to direct modification to the procedure, if necessary, to comply with the agreed method and safety and health regulations.
• To inspect completed work and prepare defects list if necessary.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil and Structural engineering recognised by PEB
• At least 8 years of civil engineering experience, of which 5 years must be of Geotechnical such as tunnels,deep excavation and foundation, including works such as installation of monitoring instruments and collation of monitoring data
• Possessed a valid RE Cert

About This Opportunity

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at H2O.ai, you will be responsible for the deployment and operations of our core products, including H2O.ai Cloud. In this role, you will work on improving and extending automation, installation, and deployment processes while handling complex customer queries related to platform deployment and integration. You will collaborate with sales, customer success, and technical teams to ensure smooth deployment, operations, and ongoing customer satisfaction.

Your role will also involve engaging with potential and existing customers, providing pre-sales technical support, addressing advanced technical inquiries, and helping them understand the capabilities and advantages of the H2O.ai platform. By demonstrating deep technical expertise and solving complex deployment issues, you will help accelerate customer adoption and success. The role requires to be physically working in customer location in Singapore.

What You Will Do

• CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions to automate software build, test, and deployment processes. Ensure efficient and reliable deployment to streamline platform integration for customers.
• Design, Deploy, and Manage Infrastructure: Architect, deploy, and manage infrastructure for H2O.ai Cloud across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises Kubernetes (K8s) clusters. Set up and configure servers, networks, and storage to support the deployment process and ensure platform scalability.
• Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Set up and configure monitoring systems (e.g., Datadog) to track system performance and optimize resource utilization. Troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs and proactively ensuring platform stability.
• Disaster Recovery & Security: Implement security best practices to protect customer data and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA). Define and implement disaster recovery strategies for critical customer environments.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least the last 3+ years focused on working with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development.
• CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions or related CICD tools.
• Coding Skills: Strong expertise in Groovy, Python and/or shell scripting. Additional knowledge of Go is a plus.
• Kubernetes Expertise: Proven experience deploying applications on Kubernetes and a strong understanding of container orchestration.
• Helm Charts: Ability to understand and write Helm Charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as on-premises infrastructure.
• Tools and Automation: Familiarity with the tools used/planned for automating H2O deployments and integrations with databases, platforms such as - hive, impala, cloudera, YAML configuration files for automation workflows and deployment orchestration
• Linux Expertise: Familiarity with Ubuntu and CentOS/RHEL environments.
• Monitoring and Performance: Experience with tools like Datadog for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Customer-Facing Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills to address customer queries and foster adoption of H2O.ai solutions.
• Virtualization: Familiarity with technologies like VMware and Vagrant.

PROJECT ENGINEER CUM DRAFTER

1. Responsible for co-ordination of all technical activities on assigned project and assist in ensuring successful completion and execution of the assigned projects.

2. Participate in client or contractor site meetings and inspections to ensure site installation is carried in accordance to the technical specification of the project.

3. Ensure effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and project participants in the projects, to resolve all site issue hindering the work progress.

4. Assist in planning, scheduling and coordination of works and ensure proper deliverables and full compliance to the authority standards.

5. Assist in all project management and coordination activities delegated by project manager; including day-to-day interaction with clients, preparation of project proposals and production coordination.

6. Assist in all project administration where required

7. Report to the Project Manager on any site issues hindering the work progress. For example, report any change of design or architectural plan, incurring addition work to our trade. Highlight those changes that might results omission or variation cost.

8. Report to the Project Manager monthly work progress carried out on site.

9. Any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Drafter roles:

Design & Drafting:

1. Prepare and revise technical drawings and construction plans using AUTOCAD software.
2. Ensure all drafts adhere to local building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
3. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to integrate design changes and ensure clarity in construction documentation.
4. Ensure that all drafting and engineering solutions comply with safety, environmental, and building regulations.
