POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies to ensure compliance with international and local tax regulations while optimizing the organization’s tax efficiency. Key areas of focus include transfer pricing, where the incumbent will design policies, conduct analyses, prepare documentation, and ensure adherence to evolving regulations, and tax planning, where they will identify opportunities to minimize liabilities, advise on tax implications of corporate strategies, and support business initiatives. The role also involves managing tax audits, resolving disputes, liaising with tax advisors and authorities, and staying updated on legislative changes to address tax risks and opportunities proactively.

The incumbent will undertake any or all of the following and has authority for:

Transfer Pricing

• Develop and implement robust transfer pricing policies and strategies
• Conduct thorough transfer pricing analyses/study to support intercompany transactions
• Prepare transfer pricing documentation and reports
• Monitor legislative changes in transfer pricing, BEPS and recommending/implementing strategies to ensure continuous compliance

Tax Planning

• Advise on tax strategy/opportunities/savings for the Group and provide recommendations/guidance on ways to reduce tax liabilities/exposure

• Support strategic tax planning for new business initiatives
• Work closely with tax professionals, if any, on tax planning strategies

Other Duties

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries for various transactions, including revenue, expenses, and adjustments
• Assist in inventory management
• Perform month-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and accruals
• Prepare balance sheet schedules to support financial statements
• Generate financial and management reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses
• Prepare quarterly GST submissions
• Participate in system implementation and improvement projects
• Assist in process improvement initiatives
• Contribute to the development of company policies and standard operating procedures
• Undertake any other ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned

Job Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles
• Analytical mindset and ability to handle pressure to meet deadlines
• At least 5-7 years of experience in general ledger accounting within a medium-sized organisation
• Hands-on experience with fixed assets, financial reporting, cash flow management, and audits
• Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of inventory management processes
• Prior experience with Navision or similar accounting systems is preferred
• Experience in process improvement initiatives is a plus

• Ensure internal and statutory compliance eg SOX, internal controls, quarterly reporting such as Controller checklist and 10-K report.
• Compile the Group’s monthly performance, knowledge of group consolidation will have an added advantage.
• Review and prepare annual financial statements and XBRL filing.
• Review and ensure tax compliance which includes GST, withholding tax and corporate tax.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units for budgets, forecasts and finance related projects.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and relevant government and regulatory agencies.
• Assist the Financial Controller on reporting and all corporate matters relating to accounting, tax, treasury, legal and corporate secretarial.

• Minimum 5 years of finance related experience
• Preferably with 2-3years of audit experience
• Proactive, committed, good team player with effective inter-personal skills and able to work under pressure.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3-5 years work experience as an Accountant.

Key responsibilities:

1. Play a key role in routine finance matters, monthly accounts closing as well as subsequent financial analysis.
2. Oversee adherence and compliance by Finance and Operation personnels as to existing SOP and internal control policies.
3. Execution of routine and periodical internal control process and requirement such as KYC, KYS, cash count, asset sighting, stock count, and reassessment of existing suppliers.
4. Play an active role in review and transform existing work processes as part of initiative and objective for improvement to internal control and processes, data transparency, data availability, as well as process efficiency.
5. Any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree or professional accounting qualification.
2. Minimum 3 years of working experiences preferably in accounting and auditing field

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations

- Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues

- Manage month-end and year-end closing

- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department

- Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records

- Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3 years related working experience
