Tax Manager Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Singapore tax regulations and be able to lead our tax team efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of tax executives to ensure timely and accurate tax filings, submissions, and compliance for clients.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions for clients.
• Oversee and manage all direct and indirect tax compliance matters, including GST, corporate tax, and withholding tax.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws in Singapore.
• Provide tax advisory services to clients on corporate restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and other related matters.
• Act as a key liaison with IRAS and other tax authorities on audits and other tax-related matters.
• Mentor and develop the tax team to ensure high performance and ongoing professional development.

Operations

• Assist in schedule preparation for audits and internal reporting.
• Acts as contact person on TMS and finance-related queries.

Your Background

• Proficient in English to communicate across different teams globally
• Comfortable covering full scope of finance ranging from operational matters to management and statutory reporting
• Minimum 2 years of audit background preferred and/or experience in different finance functions, not limited to big 4 audit firms
• Prior experience in handling/reviewing GST filings is advantageous
• Comfortable working with large datasets.

Our client is a leading European logistics brand with its APAC HQ in Singapore.

Key responsibilities:

• Offer support to the team and other divisions regarding accounts receivable billing and payment processing.
• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable.
• Oversee the closing processes for month-end and year-end (including accounts receivable and direct costs).
• Reconcile account balances related to accounts receivable on the balance sheet.
• Validate and process billing requests, as well as debit and credit notes for accounts receivable.
• Confirm and process collections via cheque, cash, direct credit, GIRO, or TT.
• Review and process electronic payments, security deposits, and refunds.
• Generate monthly revenue reports and analyze variances.
• Prepare account statements for customers.

• Handle escalated customer disputes and resolve issues related to accounts receivable.
