Medtronic’s Tax Department consists of over 100 tax professionals and support personnel located in different locations in the United States (U.S) and six different locations outside the U.S. The Tax Department is broken down into seven major groups: Reporting & Tax Accounting, Compliance, M&A and Tax Planning, Audits & Controversy, Transfer Pricing and International Taxes. In this role, the Tax Accountant, Asia Pacific (APAC), will have responsibility over designated countries’ income tax compliance (managing an outsourced provider), audits, and tax planning. In addition, this person will have responsibility over selected APAC tax region projects as well as assist the Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Tax group with APAC M&A (and joint venture) deals, APAC acquisition integrations and divestitures. Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team in mTower (formerly known as PSA Building) office. As a full-time Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibility

• Full Set of Accounts Management: Handle the full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger. Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining a full set of accounts with banks, payables, joint ventures, properties, projects and consolidated financial reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee the filing of regular tax returns, tax audit / inquiries and notices from tax authorities, GST/VAT and withholding tax
• Lead implementation of Pillar 2 compliance for the Group
• Assist the group to comply with transfer pricing rules and plan comprehensive tax and transfer pricing strategies through the use of Organisation for Economic Cooperation (OECD) guidelines' and Singapore transfer pricing guidelines' methodologies.
• Manage all Singapore GST matters for the group ensuring tax compliance with GST regulations
• Provide advice on all tax matters including day-to-day tax planning and advisory / operational business support, review of commercial contracts and cross-border transactions, tax reporting and tax due diligence.
• Monitor and analyse the impact of proposed and newly enacted tax legislation on the business in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Identify tax efficient opportunities and assist with all aspects of tax strategy management, business acquisition and restructuring initiatives, tax efficient structuring and mitigation of tax risks.
• Support the tax provisioning process for the finance team.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate and international shipping tax with prior experience in Big 4
• Familiar with Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Singapore Transfer Pricing guidelines.
• Degree in Accountancy or its' equivalent or any professional tax qualifications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with emphasis on ability to interpret and analyze relevant tax law and summarize findings in non-technical business language for management

AP team under Singapore finance team provides AP capabilities through a centralized management model that supports business growth by delivering standard, optimized and scalable AP processes.

This role will be responsible for the daily AP transactions and ensure accuracy in recording and reporting, protecting company financial interests, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This position requires on-site work.

• Verify and process assigned payment requests on daily basis
