managing tax planning, compliance and controversy in the Asia Pacific region. This will involve driving tax initiatives and technology, reviewing tax processes, helping with tax audits in the region and supporting the business teams in tax matters.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate tax compliance activities outsourced to external service providers across the Asia Pacific region. This includes reviewing tax returns, tax forecast calculations, and performing technical analyses to support statutory audits.
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements, including the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation in line with local regulations.
• Provide tax advisory and project management support for ad hoc tax projects, such as tax treaty applications and addressing internal and external tax-related inquiries.
• Assist in managing tax audits within the region.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Law.
• With 10 to 15 years of relevant APAC tax experience, including tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax advisory, and tax dispute resolution.
• Experience in both commercial roles and exposure to Big 4 accounting firms is preferred.
• Proven expertise in project management, cross-functional collaboration, and proficiency in leveraging internal tools and technologies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, research, and project management skills.
• Ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex tax or business information.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including cross-border teams.
