Responsibilities

In this role, the Tax Accountant, Asia Pacific (APAC), will have responsibility over designated countries’ income tax compliance (managing an outsourced provider), audits, and tax planning. In addition, this person will have responsibility over selected APAC tax region projects as well as assist the Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Tax group with APAC M&A (and joint venture) deals, APAC acquisition integrations and divestitures. • Providing support to the wider Corporate Tax team on all internal quarterly tax reporting matters (e.g. FIN 48 positions, income tax rates, withholding tax rates, tax holiday checklist, tax audit log, thin capitalization review, evaluation of valuation allowances, etc.); including analyses for the APAC region;

Job Requirements

• Assist in fulfilment of clients’ income tax advisory needs on tax structuring matters and conducting income tax due diligence reviews (typically in M&A situations)
• Assist clients in managing IRAS queries/audits
• Assist clients in seeking income tax rulings/clarifications from IRAS
