• Review and authorize AR invoice
• Review of AP invoice and payment batches
• Review related party transactions
• Review and closing of accounts (month end and year end closing) including review or prepare supporting schedules

• Handle GST reporting, corporate tax reporting and deferred tax computation

The Tax Analyst will support the day-to-day tax work of the family office. Reporting to the Senior Tax Analyst based in Singapore, the successful candidate will work as part of the tax team which has a global coverage to deliver professional tax services including direct and indirect tax compliance and tax advisory support in respect of business activities of the group. Principal Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collate data required to prepare the relevant direct and indirect tax returns.
• Assisting in the preparation of the relevant direct and indirect tax returns. This includes preparing analyses of nominal codes and working with the finance teams to understand the underlying transactions.
• Assisting with other tax compliance work across a wide range of taxes, including but not limited to FATCA/CRS, personal, corporate, employment taxes and withholding tax.
• Assist with preparation of transfer pricing filing and documentation.
• Assisting in the preparation of tax estimates and arranging for payments to be made to the relevant tax authorities.
• Assisting in the review of tax notices and attending to queries from the relevant tax authorities.
• Assisting with group tax reporting such as tax cashflow and the preparation of tax provisions.
• Supporting the tax team in respect of tax risk management including monitoring and implementing changes in tax regulations, and tracking of internal and external reporting timelines.
• Supporting the tax team and collaborating with internal stakeholders on ad-hoc queries, projects and other tax-related administration duties.

OK, SO WHAT ABOUT THE ROLE?

As Accountant , you will play a crucial role within our organization in supporting our operations across the region. Milieu manages a community of consumers who provide us with thousands of valuable opinions daily across countries in South East Asia. As an Accountant, you will be looking after certain aspects of our financial operations such as facilitating the disbursement of rewards to our users, closing of monthly accounts, Accounts Receivable billings and financial analysis.

A FEW OTHER THINGS WE LOOK FOR

• 3-5 years of accounting experience and able to handle full set of accounts
• Preferably with audit experience
• Working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google suite.
• Experienced in using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle etc) but not essential
• Good communication skills including a strong command of English

You will play an integral role in month end closing such as posting of journal entries, preparation of payments and receivables. The Role (Summary of the Position Objective):

The Main Responsibilities:

• Prepares monthly accounting journal and reporting responsibilities for Cash Function under US GAAP for APAC countries book. The main activities would be open items management.
• Prepares monthly variance analysis and commentary for Cash Function for APAC countries entities.
• Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations schedule for Cash Function as per the Group timetable
• Collaborations with the US Corporate function team and follow up with stakeholders to assist with the correct accounting treatment
• Provides support to the annual US GAAP audit and quarterly review processes to ensure consistency of accounting and clean balance sheet monthly positions
• Participates in the yearly external audit and tax reporting compliance – draft and provide financial statements, balance sheets and any local statutory reports timely and accurately
• Identify efficiencies and automation opportunities. Working closely with team members, broader Finance teams and partners to deliver these improvements / the change management aspect of these initiatives
• Contribute and collaborate as an active member of a team in achieving common goals, solving problems, developing “win-win” solutions, and assuming joint accountability to drive results/outcomes

What We Look for in a Candidate

Minimum Requirements:-

• Several years of experience within similar sized entities or from an accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of core accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
• Microsoft Office – intermediate to advanced Excel
• Experience of any large ERP system
• Excellent time management skills and strong sense of accountability to meet deadlines
