The APAC Tax Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all tax-related matters for Rolls-Royce Solutions Asia (Singapore) operating in the Asian region. • Point of contact with external tax agent. Discuss and negotiate tax compliance / advisory fee quotes for tax services in accordance with the tax services required by the Company.
• Contact point of Business Units (BUs) on Inbound and Outbound withholding taxes (WHT), international tax implication (Eg. Permanent establishment), Value added tax (VAT) and Good & Services Tax (GST) matters. Provide comprehensive, practical, and commercially viable tax advice to ensure that the Company is overall in tax compliance.
• Lead the Assisted Compliance Assurance Program (ACAP) and Post-ACAP Review on a periodical basis to ensure existing internal controls for GST framework remains robust, valid and applicable at all times in accordance with the changes in GST legislations and overall operational framework from time to time.
• Renew operational GST tax incentive status, i.e. Major Exporter Schemes (MES) on a periodical basis.
• Keep abreast of tax regulations changes with the objective to assess potential tax impact to BUs so that advice can be conveyed adequately and timely to BUs and management to mitigate the tax exposure.
• · Provide regular internal training to employees on areas of WHT, Permanent Establishment, VAT and GST to elevate overall BUs awareness.
• Provide ad-hoc tax advice to key management on organizational restructuring and streamlining operations perspective or any other projects assign from time to time to assess tax implications and exposure. These include evaluating and analyzing tax effect and implications of international business initiatives, contemplated business proposal & transactions and tax planning opportunities.
• Oversee and review the computation and filing of overseas tax returns (Eg. in India, USA, Germany, Korea). This includes maintaining the appropriate TP Report (where applicable) in respect of the Company’s income derived overseas

Regional:

• Partner, collaborate and guide regional tax colleagues in Japan, Indonesia and India to act as the conduit between the region and HQ.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To develop and maintain, as appropriate, departmental rules for guiding performance of staff.
• Share responsibility with DOE/CE for the supervision of outside contractors working in the hotel.
• Supervise the established guidelines and systems to ensure the most efficient operation at the most economical cost.
• Conduct daily rounds of the Hotel back of the house and public areas, checking every outlet for deficiencies and raising maintenance requests accordingly.
• Instruct and assist when necessary the Plant Supervisor in the chemical testing of all water systems and advise on the proper remedial action.
• Through other departments, attitude and appearance, promote a high level of interaction with the other departments and a high degrees of guest satisfaction.
• Supervise the out sources contractor carry out all mechanical and electrical equipment, fire protection, kitchen equipment, etc. maintenance program to meet hotel and club operation need.
• To ensure that all employees are fully familiar with and have a complete understanding of the hotel’s policies relating to fire, safety, hygiene and health and that these policies are strictly adhered to.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor degree or diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a 5 star hotel.
• Sound knowledge in Building Services Engineering and Management.
• Good Command in English.

Responsibilities:

• Report and assist Project Manager (PM) on project functions included but not limited to project management, site management, risk control management etc. to meet the project(s) goals
• Close supervision, management and execution of construction works at site, including monitoring work progress and quality adherence to specifications, performance of sub-contractors.
• Ensure proper documentation and records of site works are carried out.
• Work closely with the Safety Personnel to ensure all construction safety requirements are met and strictly adhere to.
• Work closely with Technical Team on any technical issues arising from site and lead the supervision and resolution of work onsite.
• Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with Contractual requirements and target completion date is met;
• Liaise with Client’s Representatives, Consultants and/or Contractors engaged on the project and attend regular meetings so as to ensure the progress is on schedule;
• Ensure the work complies with authority regulations & requirements and project deadline is met.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior/management deem fit.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil & Structural Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in construction industry. Working with main contractor experience and Singapore project experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Good team player & multi-tasking

TECHNICAL MANAGER Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical expert for detailed design and construction aspects of the project

• Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the internal team members, client, consulting engineers and contractors

• Perform expediting actions in sourcing technical information, submission of data/method statement for installation, delivery and transport of materials/equipment, storage and issuance for site installation works

• Prepare detailed installation plans, methodology, processes and procedures for support of construction team

• Propose and oversee timelines for engineering proposals and submissions are met

• Check and confirm the accuracy of submissions from contractors, vendors and suppliers for the work to be performed, coordinate and ensure approvals are received from client in timely manner

• Set up procedure and processes in monitoring and tracking of engineering related documentation throughout project lifestyle

• Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors

• Prepare and deliver various installation/erection or construction related presentations, both internally and externally
