Principal Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the governance and controls of Fair Value are adhered to through Review and Oversight of all Fair Value Adjustments (FVA), Independent Price Verification (IPV) and Prudent Valuation Adjustment (PVA) for the following sub-areas within Rates business: Structured Rates, Structured Index Products, Private Credit
• Local management of staff in Hong Kong and close interaction and engagement with Valuations team across locations (principally London and Krakow)
• Key contact point for the Fixed Income Trading team in HSBC Asia Pacific and other key stakeholders (including other Front Office, Traded Risk, Operations, IT and other Finance teams)
• Lead and Participate in Valuations methodology, including global alignment and enhancements of processes and methodologies and keep abreast of industry information around this important asset class
• Drive the implementation of FVAs, IPV and PVA changes, engage the business on all matters regarding valuations and be a key contact for internal and external audit
• Drive engagement with other asset class valuation teams to increase consistency, quality and efficiency of related controls and processes
• Promote continuous improvement for all activities including increasing efficiency and controls through procedures/systems change process and leadership within PC transformation for your area
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of assurance, internal and external audit points
• Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the areas under management; specifically, Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy

Qualifications

• Graduate degree, with experience of at least 8 years in Product Control or Valuations
• Demonstrable experience of Product Control and knowledge of Credit, Interest Rate products, accounting, valuations, controls, systems, models and markets
• Good understanding and appreciation of Regulatory requirements and guidelines for Valuation
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate key valuation issues to Senior Stakeholders in a non-technical manner
• Strong analytical skills
• Highly adaptive controls mind-set
• Experience of leading projects to delivery
• Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (at all levels of seniority)
• Experience of developing methodology and shaping policy for IPV / FVAs is a distinct advantage
• Experience of managing a team, especially across multiple locations, is an advantage

About The Role

We value the importance of having a robust Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs team that would serve as a key pillar for sustained commercial success. To that end, we are looking for a Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager to join us on this journey. You will be part of our fast-growing team and will take ownership of your role from the get-go. You will work on ensuring our company’s commitment to comply with regulatory requirements and to maintain the effectiveness of our Quality Management System (QMS). You will also be in charge of our products’ regulatory strategies and submissions to various regulatory bodies. Your role will enable you to work not only with diverse functions internally but also in close tandem with our external partners such as our suppliers, distributors and notified bodies.

Your responsibilities shall include the following:

• Ensure the company’s QMS complies with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820/QMSR.
• Develop and manage Quality Procedures such as document control, CAPA, NCR, Supplier Control, Production Control, Feedback and Complaints Handling, and Post Market Surveillance.
• Organize and execute internal audits, management reviews and supplier audits.
• Plan and lead ISO 13485 audits and regulatory inspections.

• Firm understanding of ISO 13485:2016, FDA 21 CFR 820/QMSR and ISO 14971.
• Prior involvement in HSA, FDA 510(k)/De Novo and/or MDR 2017/745 submissions will be a plus.
• Experience in generating risk management documentation (risk management plan, report, FMEAs).

Job Description:

As the Regional Logistics Manager, you will form a part of the Logistics as a Service Business Unit and will be responsible for setting up and running the logistics services footprint in Asia Pacific. You will be developing solutions that drive value into the transport and logistics domain, including mid to large-scale logistics network design for customers, freight and carrier management, modes of transport and storage, supply chain network mapping, digital business tools for logistics execution – from leading solution design and business case development to providing SME support during the implementation of the solution.

Qualifications/ Experience:

Experience in 3PL solutions, 4PL carrier management, Road freight, warehousing solutions across Asia Pacific is preferred.

Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, leadership, time and task management, the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, change and innovation

Team Management, Operational logistics acumen combined with strong sense of business development

Capable of working independently, focused, and driven, capable of decision making based on facts and data, whilst under pressure yet deliver on time.
