• Attend meetings designed to share information necessary for the smooth running of the school and the successful delivery of its programmes.

Personal Specification

Education, training and qualifications

• Appropriate degree, with teaching experience of ESAL learners, preferably holding ESL / TEFL certification or equivalent
• Be bilingual English / Chinese (Japanese would be an advantage)
• Evidence of relevant and challenging continuing professional development

Knowledge and experience

• Minimum two years’ relevant teaching experience
• Experience of employing a wide range of T&L strategies to help students in a school / after school environment (not adult learners)
• Be aware and up to date in all relevant safeguarding polices and practice
• Knowledge and experience of how to use of ICT effectively in promoting student learning
• Recent and consistent involvement in pastoral activities

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Shadow Teacher to provide individualized support to a special needs child in a classroom setting. This role involves working closely with the child to facilitate learning, social interaction, and overall development while assisting the class teacher with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to the child, ensuring their educational and social needs are met.
• Adapt classroom activities and materials to suit the child’s learning style and needs.
• Assist with managing behavior and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to implement and monitor tailored learning strategies.
• Encourage the child’s participation in group activities and interactions with peers.

Requirements:
