Job Requirements:

- Minimum "O" level/tutoring experience

- Able to teach Chinese for Primary 1 to Primary 6 students

- Good Communication Skills

- Able to interact well with children

- Only for applicants residing in Singapore

Responsibilities / Duities

- Coach, supervise and ensure completion of students daily Chinese school homework (If any)

- Conduct practices and test for weekly spelling

(Chinese only)

- Conduct weekly fun & engaging Chinese lessons (30mins) for the students

- Assist the Centre Head in planning, coordinating and implementing of fun learning activities, creative play and holiday programmes for the students

*We welcome teachers to share ideas and to be as creative as possible! (:

- Assist Centre Head in the overall running of Centre like picking the students up from centre's drop-off points

- Other ad-hoc duties such as and not limited to:

- Ensure children are brought back into the centre after going to the toilet outside the centre.

- Accompany students for school excursion.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver English/Chinese lessons within the framework of Carpe Diem curriculum.
• Create a classroom environment conducive for learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of children.
• Prepare materials and set up the classroom learning centres, displays and documentation.
• Observe and record periodically each child’s developmental growth.
• Ensure the well-being of children in the Centre, especially their health, safety and hygiene.

Education & Experience

Qualifications

• NIE-trained or hold a Math degree/diploma from a recognized institution.
• Minimum Grade: O-Level Math (A1/A2) or A-Level Math (A).
• At least 1 year of relevant teaching experience (tuition centers and/or MOE schools) is preferred, but entry-level candidates from Polytechnics and Universities are also encouraged to apply.

• Responsible for the preparation and upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance and learning environment of the classroom.

Other Requirements

• Possess a Polytechnic Diploma in relevant discipline or WSQ Student Care certification
• At least 2 years of experience in teaching children, preferably at primary level
• Prior work experience with children with special needs is an added advantage
• A team player with good communication and classroom management skills
• Patient and passionate about teaching children with special needs
• Good understanding in primary school curriculum

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Educaton or equivalent.
• Certified by ECDA at L1/L2 category.
