UWCSEA East is looking for a Teacher of Economics and Business Management from August 2025.

The appointee will ideally be able to teach IBDP Economics, our bespoke UWC Economics course which is designed for grade 9 and 10 students, and potentially IBDP Business Management at UWCSEA East Campus. Responsibilities

• Manage admissions and initial screenings.
• Plan and implement evidence-based programs or interventions.
• Develop, document, and report on academic progress and data.
• Create individualized lesson plans and IEPs with curriculum mapping and tailored instruction.
• Demonstrate strong behavior and classroom management skills, ensuring student safety and well-being.
• Document and report behaviors effectively.
• Communicate session updates and progress to parents after each session.
• Maintain detailed and timely case notes post-sessions.
• Collaborate frequently with parents and school staff.
• Conduct team meetings with Allied Health Professionals.
• Plan and implement social, emotional, and behavioral interventions.

Full-time (weekdays) and Part-time (weekends only) positions available.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) or Early Childhood Education, with a keen interest in working with special needs children.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• 3-5 years of experience working with children (18 months to 6 years old) with learning disorders or disabilities.
• Prior experience in an Early Intervention setting or with children with special needs is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, particularly with parents and colleagues.
• Ability to guide and mentor fellow teachers.
• Open to new ideas and approaches in teaching and intervention.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong command of English.

UWCSEA East Campus is seeking a Teacher of High School English for a maternity cover position. This role will commence in mid-January 2025 to the end of May 2025.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach both High School English A (first language) with a possibility of English B (English as an Additional Language).
