1. Stay current with research and best practices in EAL teaching, including the use of WIDA standards.
2. Participate in school-based professional development programs, contributing to the wider school community.
3. Work with school leadership to continually refine and improve the EAL program.

Additional Duties

1. Attend school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other events as required.
2. Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school as needed.

End-of-Term Re-assessment and Reporting

• At the end of each term, conduct a comprehensive reassessment of each EAL student's progress, both in terms of language acquisition and academic integration.
• Provide written reports to parents detailing progress, challenges, and areas for development, as well as recommendations for continued support.

Minimum Qualifications

• A degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification, preferably with a specialization in EAL or ESL (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, PGCE).
• Experience teaching EAL or ESL to primary or secondary students, ideally within an international school setting.
• Familiarity with the Cambridge International Curriculum is preferred.
• Experience with WIDA standards and assessments is a significant advantage.
• Proven track record of supporting diverse learners and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
