Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following but not limited to:

1. Plan, prepare and deliver lessons for GCE 'A' level History (Paper 1 and/or Paper 2 - South East Asian History and International History)
2. Tailor and apply pedagogy that may attend to different learnings of the students
3. Evaluate and provide feedback on students’ performance via assignments and assessments
4. Monitor students’ social development through counselling and working with parents
5. Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. parents) to ensure meeting the pastoral and cognitive needs of the students
6. In-charge of at least one co-curricular activity and/or committee in addition to civics tutorship
7. Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ teacher meetings and any other school-wide training events
8. Any other duties assigned by the School

Job Requirements

• A good undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline
• A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is preferred - those without will be considered as an Associate Teacher
• Proficient in South East Asian History and International History
• Familiar with the GCE 'A' level History syllabus
• Comfortable with classroom and student management
• Passion to teach the age group of students from 13 to 18 years old
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good team player
• This position will be a 2-year contract (renewable)

What You'll Do:
- To facilitate and carry out the following daily operations routine:
1. Set appropriate classroom rules
2. Ensure that the classroom has an environment that is clean and conducive to
work in at all times
3. Students are to be supervised at all times

- To adhere to the routine and rules of the centre
- To ensure the safety and security of the students during student care hours
- To facilitate social interactions among students and provide support and encouragement should a need arises
- To be familiar with a student's medical conditions and dietary restrictions, etc.
- To adhere to the specific guidelines given by the Centre Manager as well as the roles assigned by the Centre Manager
- To work as a team and share the collective responsibilities
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the classrooms
- Min. ‘O’ Level with 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Team player with a “can-do” attitude

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to the needs of infants and toddlers.
• Monitor and document children’s progress through developmental portfolios and progress reports.

• Qualifications: Certificate in Infant/Toddler Care and Development (CIT), Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC), or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)
