Monday: Rest Day
Tuesday: 2:30pm to 6:00pm
Wednesday: 1:00pm to 9:30pm

Thursday, Friday: 1:00pm to 9:30pm

Saturday and Sunday: 8:30am to 6:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct Chinese Enrichment lesson for Preschool/Primary/Secondary levels, according to the teaching plan provided.

· Keep accurate records of students’ progress, develop and complete the assessment and evaluation reports of students termly

· Communicate with parents regularly on students’ progress

· Dedicated and passionate about working with children

· Possess a fun-loving, energetic and bubbly disposition

Requirements:

· Candidate must possess a Degree in Education, Chinese Language (Teaching, Linguistics or equivalent.)

· Teaching experience in local school will be an advantage

· Candidate required to work on weekend and PH

Job Description & Requirements

• Assist in classroom teaching, including hydrotherapy/ swimming sessions, toilet-training, showering and other daily living skills training sessions.
• Assist in supervising and managing students’ behaviour using appropriate behaviour intervention techniques.
• Assist in lesson delivery, classroom teaching resources/ materials and equipment.
• Support students’ learning in the classroom, learning journeys, school events, and ad-hoc activities during out-of-school hours.
• Attend meetings, case discussions, home visits and other relevant staff development training.
• Support in planning and execution of school events
• Assist in students-related administrative duties

Roles & Responsibilities

- Plan, supervise, and implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies, guidelines, frameworks and philosophy of the centre.

- Address each child’s educational and developmental and keep accurate records of children’s progress through checklists, progress notes, photographs and anecdotal records.

- Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to work and play in.

- Meet with parents to address any concerns or at parents’ request. Keep Principal informed about student concerns or difficulties.

- Complete progress reports on children for each semester and prepare a developmental portfolio for each child.

- Meet weekly with the Assistant Teacher to discuss planning, activities, the children’s development and any concerns. Discuss expectations, set guidelines and establish procedures for class organisation, discipline and daily schedules.

- Render basic first aid as and when necessary.

- Being responsible for the arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom.

- Attend all teachers meetings and professional development sessions, and participate on committees and activity teams as required. Attendance is mandatory.

- Work cooperatively with other staff/ teachers to ensure optimal benefit for children

- Display a positive attitude, work cooperatively with other staff members and assist new teachers with settling in to MindChamps PreSchool

- Other adhoc duties might be required as operational needs

Job Requirements:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education - Teaching (DECCE-T)

- Creative and inspiring with loving energy

- Excellent communication and classroom management skills

- Be familiar with all working curriculum documents, handbooks and policy manuals.

- Knowledge in educational development / cognitive psychology

- Bilingual in English & Chinese
