SJI International Elementary School is seeking a passionate and collaborative Learning Support Teacher to join our vibrant team starting in July 2025. The role involves working with students aged 4 to 12 years through in-class support and individualised pull-out interventions. Assessment and Reporting

• Possess a thorough knowledge of the school’s Assessment Policies and Procedures
• Maintain a regular system of assessing and monitoring of progress that can be shared with students, teachers, parents and the Learning Support Lead
• Ensure that assessment data is recorded, analysed and used to plan future teaching and learning, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the support provision
• Report on student progress as required, outlining the content covered, results of formative and summative assessments and next steps in learning

Collaboration and Relationship Management

• Organise and manage groups or individual students whilst promoting high standards of behaviour and discipline
• Meet regularly with the homeroom teacher (and other teachers where needed) in order to plan relevant, challenging and meaningful support for students
• Work collaboratively and purposefully with any assigned Teaching Assistant
• Collaborate and communicate regularly with the Learning Support Lead, Pastoral Team and teachers as part of a team around the academic, social and emotional development of each child

Resource Management

• Ensure that classroom resources are organised and managed to provide an efficient, effective and safe learning environment
• Monitor, evaluate and review the available teaching and learning resources and communicate suggested improvements or changes to the Learning Support Lead
• Look for and recommend resources that may be available beyond the school that support teaching and learning or provide professional development opportunities for the team

Communication

• Communicate with the Learning Support Lead, School Leadership Team and colleagues effectively, respectfully and in a timely manner
• Ensure positive and effective partnerships with parents through regular and clear communication about the student
• Share assessment data with parents as appropriate e.g. reports, PTC, as related to Learning Support

Responsibilities

To assist lead teachers and therapists:

• To assist in preparing and implementing the programs for children.
• To assist in managing behavior of children using appropriate behavioural strategies taught and agreed by the clinic.
• To assist in supporting the children during routine activities including mealtime, circle time, work and play times.
• To assist in toileting needs of the children and maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and infection control.
• To assist in administrative tasks such as typing out summaries and reports (e.g. IEP, Progress Report).
• To assist in providing input on children’s progress during case conferences or at any other case discussion.
• To assist in planning, share ideas and exchange feedback with the team.
• To assist in preparing teaching aids, materials and resources.
• To assist in evaluating and maintaining records of children’s development as required in the program.
• To assist in rendering basic first aid as and when necessary.
• To assist in the upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom.

The German European School Singapore (GESS) is looking for experienced Middle School Math Teacher for Grades 6-8 covering the MYP IB Curriculum, commencing on 1 August 2025.

In your teaching commitment at GESS, you will need to take on the following responsibilities where you will be expected to:

· Develop a strong relationship with all parents and students

· Be a role model who mentors and guides students to ensure they meet their full potential

· Actively review student assessment data, including academic, behavioral and social/emotional, to set learning goals, develop student agency and put in place interventions to ensure successful learning of each individual.

Experience and Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification (minimum B.Ed or PGCE equivalent)
• Tertiary educational background
• At least 4 years teaching experience
• Knowledge, understanding and teaching experience of the IB Middle Years Programme and/or IB Diploma Programme
• Articulate and effective written and oral communication in English
• Ability to work collaboratively, professionally and effectively within a team
• Experience of working in an international school setting advantageous
• Willingness to adapt to and embrace a new school environment
• Willingness to contribute and champion educational change that supports best practice and improve student learning
