Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in preparing and carrying out lesson plans, i.e. setting up materials, and ensuring children stay on task.
• Assist teachers in providing individualizes support to children who need extra help, including one-on-one guidance and small group instruction.
• Assist teachers to help maintain classroom discipline by enforcing rules and implementing behavior management strategies.
• Assist teachers in providing input for bi-annual assessment of children's development through observations, and other assessment tools, and help in preparing progress reports.
• Handle administrative duties such as taking attendance, maintaining student records, and managing classroom supplies, i.e. sanitizer, tissue papers.
• Help to create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
• Ensure the classroom is safe and clean.
• Assist teachers during school programmes, fields trips, and activities.
• Train children to observe good hygiene practices.
• Change diapers, shower children, and train young children in toileting.
• Feed children meals and encourage them to drink water.

Job Requirements

• Fundamentals Certificate in early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE).
• Preferably with experience in handling young children.
• Preferably with relevant working experience.

· Teach and conduct coding classes and programs focused on C++ and Python

· Develop and curate curriculum resources for C++ and Python programming

· Oversee and train students in preparation for coding competitions

· Groom and mentor students to excel in C++ and Python programming

· Facilitate an inclusive and collaborative classroom environment for coding education

· Adopt a supportive classroom approach to foster positive learning and development in programming

· Encourage students to express their creativity and problem-solving skills through coding projects

· Provide quality feedback on students' programming skills and development progress

· Participate in campus events, including parent meetings and festive occasions

· Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the STEM Teacher (Supervisor)

Job Specification:

· Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields

· Familiarity with C++ and Python programming languages; previous experience preferred

· Passion for teaching computer programming

· Experience in teaching or tutoring, especially with children and young adults, is advantageous

· Patient, approachable, and passionate about teaching coding to kids and young adults

· Ability to connect, interact, and establish positive relationships with parents

· Demonstrates professionalism in appearance, dressing, and communication skills

· Energetic, with a positive can-do attitude

· Strong team player
