Career Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. The candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and proven experience in selling battery solutions to clients. The Technical Sales Engineer will develop and implement effective solution-selling strategies at all levels within assigned industries and locations. He/She will be responsible for driving sales, building and maintaining customer relationships, and providing technical support and expertise related to battery specifications and applications.

Role Responsibilities/Learning Outcome:

1) Sales and Business Development:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and sales channels for battery products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
• Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

2) Technical Expertise:

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor/master’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer with design & manufacturing knowledge
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in selling battery solutions or related electrical products.
• Strong understanding of battery technologies, specifications, and applications
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
• A strong propensity for teamwork, excellent communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Preferably fluent with Mandarin speaking to communicate with our various stakeholders.
• Good skills in communication and comfortable in working with the cross functional team.

What will you do?

1. Product Development:

• Project manage and oversee the end-to-end hardware product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Unerstand Software/Firmware integration and experiences in firmware specification review.
• Collaborate with firmware, software development team to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
• Project scheduling and resource planning.

2. Production Management and Quality Assurance:

• Understand production process, drive and manage OEM/ODM factories for the entire production cycle including the RMA processes.
• Establish and enforce quality standards for hardware products, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, client’s specification and regulatory requirements.
• Establish effective QA/QC methodologies, standards and processes, conduct thorough testing, validation of hardware products and failure analysis.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay informed about industry compliance, regulations, and standards in consumer electronics.

4. Customer and Vendor Management:

• Work closely with key customers to ensure product features, delivery timeline and quality meet their requirements.
• Respond to key customers’ technical feedback and enquiries in a timely manner.
• Identify and engage with external partners, factory vendors, and suppliers for product design, development, testing and manufacturing.

5. Innovation and Research:

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

7. Team Management:

• Lead and mentor junior CE Product Engineers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality solutions.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a team lead role with at least 5 years experiences in consumer electronic product development.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

• Drive, manage & present critical financials deliverables for the organizations which will include the the Internal Operating Plan (1 year), Interim Forecasting cycles (3 per annum) & Monthly actuals reporting (12 x per annum).
