Design Engineer - Manufacturing Industry

Job Scope:

• To develop, document and support the build of high precision plastic injection tooling and molded parts for manufacturing.

• Support Program team during upfront new project quotation stage by providing accurate upfront tooling/product DFM that matches the right quality requirements.

• To meet customer for DFM and mold concept review to ensure customer’s technical requirements and concerns are addressed.

• Support Tooling Department by conducting internal tooling design and DFM reviews before tool launch.

• Support Production in areas like molding process optimization, implement manufacturing fixtures and automation for reliability and efficiency improvements.

• Support Quality Team in the design and fabrication of test/measurement fixtures.

• To coordinate mold trials, tooling and molded part troubleshooting and carry out necessary engineering changes to ensure parts can be produced smoothly with the required quality.

JOB SCOPE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design for single line diagram, electrical distribution system, small power, street lighting, compound lighting, ELV etc.
• Determine the cable sizing & design routing for sub-main cabling and conduit/trunking wiring.
• Selection for cable, circuit breaker, transformers, UPS, VFD, generator.
• Supervise electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
• Preparation of project documents including technical proposal, load list, cable schedule, cable routing, switch-room layout, load flow, etc.
• Prepare the BQ for the RFQ.
• Fault and short circuit study, harmonic analysis.
• Preparing specifications and datasheet for RFQ and review offers from vendors for compliance to technical specification, compliance with codes and regulation.
• Prepare documentation for submission and supporting project team on plant start-up, performance test, and optimization.
• Perform the cable sizing calculation and the voltage drop calculation.
• Supervise electrical installation, testing and commissioning.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in process plants or in the water/wasterwater industry, with good knowledge in electrical design of water and/or wasterwater treatment plants.

• Provide level 2 End User Computing support and well verse in Windows OS
• Good Hardware and software troubleshooting skills for PC.
• Break fix and IMAC support for end user deskside equipment
• Basic troubleshooting skills for IOS and android devices.
• Handles asset and peripherals inventory management.
