Shall provide Data Centre (DC) operations at the Customer’s premises and premises identified by the
Customer. The DC Operations shall cover the following:
1. DC Environment Support; and
2. DC Facilities Management Services.
DC Environment Support
Shall monitor the facilities infrastructure in the DC to ensure that they are within the operating levels
defined by the Customers. The infrastructure to be monitored shall minimally include:
(a) Power infrastructure (such as Uninterrupted Power Supply and power distribution boards);
(b) Cooling Infrastructure (such as computer room air-conditioning units);
(c) Fire detection and suppression systems (such as FM200, water sprinklers, fire extinguishers);
(d) Environment monitoring system (such as humidity and temperature); and
(e) Water leakage detection.
(f) Shall ensure the DC infrastructure is monitored on twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days
a week, inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
(g) The Vendor shall inform the Customer within one (1) hour when problems are detected.
(h) Shall work with the Customer and Customer-appointed Supplier to resolve any infrastructure
issues detected in accordance to the support hours as required by the Customer.
DC Facilities Management Services
(a) Shall ensure, through daily inspection, that the general cleanliness and tidiness of the data centre
are maintained by the Customer-appointed Supplier.
(b) Shall work with Customer-appointed Supplier on site preparation tasks such as network cabling
and electrical wiring, when required.
(c) Shall ensure the network cabling in the data centre and within the racks are neat and tidy.
(d) Shall work with the Customer-appointed Supplier for both scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance,
servicing, repair and upgrading works to the infrastructure at the Customer’s premises and
premises identified by the Customer.
(e) Shall plan and coordinate the maintenance activities. This includes polling the affected parties,
obtaining the Customer’s approval, and sending out messages to inform the affected party.
(f) Shall obtain the Customer’s approval before finalizing the plan for any activity.
(g) Shall provide on-site support during the maintenance activities unless otherwise agreed by the
Customer.
(h) Shall maintain up-to-date documentation of the data centre design layouts.
(i) Shall manage the physical security of the data centre in accordance with the guidelines provided
by the Customer.
(j) Shall monitor the following physical security infrastructure to ensure they are within the
operating levels defined by the Customer:
ï‚· Security Alarm and Security Card Access System; and
ï‚· Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV).
(k) Shall ensure that only authorised personnel are allowed to access the DCs.
ï‚· The Vendor shall ensure that all visitors to DCs are escorted during their activities on-site.
ï‚· The Vendor shall ensure that the visitors record their activities in the on-site log.
Requirement – DC Operations
Minimum Requirement:
The Vendor shall ensure, through daily inspection, that the general cleanliness and tidiness of the
data centre are maintained by the Customer-appointed Supplier. The DC Operator shall possess
minimally the following skill sets:
(a) Three (3) years of working experience in Data Centre Engineer Operations experience;
(b) Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Manager (CDFOM) or equivalent; and
(c) ITIL v4 Foundation Certification or equivalent
