Job Summary

An exciting opportunity for Data Engineer to be a part of a project for strategic initiatives in architecting, designing and building next-generation cloud-based data platforms.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology;
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering and modelling;
• Strong hands-on exposure in data science, data analytics and / or data engineering;
• Deep understanding of system design, data structure and algorithms, data modelling, data access, and data storage;
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases;
• Good understanding in using cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud;
• Experience with orchestration frameworks such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow;
• Experience with distributed data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop;
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or Scala;
• Familiarity with building and using CI/CD pipelines;
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Terraform, Git;
• Strong hands-on exposure with ETL Extract, Transform, Load tools;
• Possess strong written and verbal communication abilities, effectively conveying information to various stakeholders.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining batch and real-time data pipelines;
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the various team in architecting, designing and building ingestion pipelines to collect, clean, merge, and harmonize data from different source systems;
• Involved in architecting and scaling data analytics infrastructure on cloud environment; development of systems, architectures, and platforms that can scale large volume and variety;
• Architect and build ingestion pipelines to collect, clean, merge, and harmonize data from different source systems;
• Improve and optimize the workloads, processes to ensure that performance levels can support continuous accurate, reliable, and timely delivery of data products; ensure maximum database uptime;
• Monitoring of databases and ETL systems for database capacity planning and maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning; diagnose issues and deploy measures to prevent recurrence;
• Construct, test, and update useful and reusable data models based on business data needs;
• Engagement and collaboration with product managers, software engineers, data analysts and data scientists to build scalable and data-driven platforms and tools;
• Collaborate with data stewards to establish and enforce data governance policies, best practices and procedures;
• Assist to maintain master data catalogue to document data assets, metadata and lineage;
• Implement and enforce data security best practices, including access control, encryption, and data masking, to safeguard sensitive data;
• Involved in managing production services that provide analytics capabilities to our various data users across the division.

About the Role:

The Building Automation System Engineer shall possess a diploma in Building, Facilities, Engineering or relevant disciplines from a recognised establishment with a minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Building Maintenance System. The Building Automation System Engineer shall be familiar with the Building Maintenance System (BMS) and have good knowledge in building M&E system.

The responsibilities of the Building Automation Engineer shall include but not limited to the following:

1) On daily basis, follow up on anomalies or faults detected from the use of the Building Maintenance System to optimize the building equipment;

2) Deep dive into building function and equipment to improve energy efficiencies and eliminate intermittent faults, derive new fault rules specific and relevant to the Sites; and

3) Manage, operate, configure, modify and perform troubleshooting on the Building Maintenance System

About You:

1) Possess a recognized diploma in any discipline of building, facilities, or engineering (with M&E background preferred) related discipline from a recognized establishment with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experiences in facility management works

2) Trained in Building Management System

3) Fluent with Microsoft Office

• To coordinate the contractor, AC, QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc for the works
• To review, evaluate and assess all formwork structure, formwork support systems systems and gantry crane and submit evaluation report endorsed by a PE
• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters
• To supervise the installation of instrumentation
• To supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, pump drainage works etc
• To review, evaluate and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpretation of the results and provide analytical results/presentations
• To review Contractor's design and supervise all works associated to micro-tunneling and mining, Flyover works, sewer diversion (including shaft construction and pipe-jacking operations.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
• At least 4 years’ of experience, of which 3 years experience in either geotechnical works or airport construction.
• Possess a valid RTO cert by IES Singapore

• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings
• To provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities
• Supervise all civil, structural and geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary
• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits and clearance to work
• To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures to protect surrounding structures
• To coordinate the contractor, AC, QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc for the works
• To review, evaluate and assess all formwork structure, formwork support systems etc
• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters
• To supervise the installation of instrumentation
• To supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, pump drainage works etc
• To review, evaluate and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpretation of the results and provide analytical results/presentations
• To review Contractor's design and supervise all works

Criteria:

- Min 3 years of experience in Cut & Cover tunnelling or supervision of installation of monitoring instruments, collation of monitoring data and use of software for presentation of monitoring data for analysis and interpretation.

- Possess a valid RTO cert by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore

- Possess a valid RTO (Tunnel) cert by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore
