Join our team as a Technical Supervisor, overseeing day-to-day operations in vessel repairs. This pivotal role requires boarding vessels to lead repairs in hulls, pipes, hydraulics, and mechanics. You'll excel in preparing quotations aligned with customer needs, backed by extensive knowledge in vessel repair scopes. Flexibility is crucial, as this role involves short-notice travel to shipyards to lead critical projects and potentially longer stays onboard vessels while managing such projects effectively. This is a full-time role based in Singapore.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Technical Supervisor to manage day to day operations related to vessel repairs
· Board vessels to lead miscellaneous repairs related to hull, pipes, hydraulics and mechanical repairs.
· Prepare quotations based on customer requirements and must have indepth knowledge on vessel repair scopes.
· Co ordinate between clients and various operations teams for jobs for arrangements and executing repair jobs.
· Sound knowledge on welding related to pipes and plate drawings.
· Able to travel at short notice to shipyards to co ordinate and lead critical projects and onboard vessels.
· Able to stay onboard vessels for a longer period while managing critical projects.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Main Requirements:
· A strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, and structural engineering, particularly in the maritime industry, is essential
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a commitment to delivering results and driving continuous improvement
· Prior experience in managing and executing vessel repair projects is crucial. This includes a deep understanding of various repair techniques and procedures related to hulls, pipes, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
· Experience in Welding and Machining processes
· Have experience OR understand the procedures for welding jobs for structural works as per the standards, Step by step inspection welding jobs
· Familiarized in BWTS pipe installation on board vessels
