Position Summary

You are responsible to assist Snr Engineers and/or Project Manager in production, assembly, design and development of hardware and equipment the Company’s products. The job also involves sourcing of components, participating in technical design, assisting the Snr. Engineers and/or Project Manager in budgeting, scheduling, management of contractors, and installation, deployment and maintenance of the products in an operational environment (on-site when required).

Main Responsibilities

• System set-up; troubleshooting, resolution of anomalies discovered in equipment and methods, provision of assistance in maintenance service
• Installation of equipment room racking, servers and UPS. cable works for power and communication
• Installation and maintanance of electrical and Instrument equipment
• Installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of operating systems, application software and system management tools. Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and security.
• Assistance in managing and monitoring all systems and infrastructure.
• Under the guidance of a Snr. System Engineer or Project Manager, collation of information on hardware systems, costs of development, work program and technical specification
• Participation in the development and testing process, systems testing and commissioning
• Provision of support of design and installation of ‘turnkey’ and / or ‘user-defined’ system
• Sourcing and identification of suppliers for evaluation
• Conduct of preliminary assessment on systems requirement of the clients and matching with components recommended by sub-contractors
• Provision of assistance in systems deployment, system implementation and / or installation
• Performance of corrective, preventive maintenance work in-house or at customer site (on-site)
• Implementation of enhancement/upgrades as instructed
• Preparation of documentation and logistics support where necessary
• Travelling maybe required from time to time

Key Responsibilities:

Cisco Wireless Infrastructure Management:

• Configure, deploy, and manage Cisco wireless access points and controllers to ensure reliable wireless network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wireless network performance, coverage, and security.
• Managing the Cisco ISE.

Cisco Switches and Routers Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain Cisco switches and routers for optimal network performance.

Firmware Upgrades:

• Upgrade firmware for wireless devices, routers, and switches as part of regular network maintenance and improvement.

Network Monitoring with SolarWinds:

• Utilize SolarWinds for continuous monitoring of the network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless systems.

Firewall Management (Palo Alto, Checkpoint):

• Configure and maintain Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls to ensure network security and integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing and configuring Cisco wireless infrastructure, switches, and routers.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SolarWinds network monitoring tool.

• Proficiency in managing Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for network and security-related issues.

In Your Role

• Responsible for systems administration, application disaster recovery, system security and performance monitoring
• Automate builds, testing and deployments pipelines in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment
• Maintain and improve hybrid (cloud and on-premises) auto scaling infrastructure through the implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) and other methodologies
• Implement monitoring systems to maintain overall stability and efficiency of the systems
• Collaborate with teams to perform incident resolution and root cause analysis
• Develop scripts to drive automation and as well as improve the monitoring of services
• Investigate and develop skills in new technologies, collaborate across the company

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong knowledge in Gitlabs, Jenkins, Kubernetes and Dockers development
• Two (2) or more years’ experience in CI/CD environment
• Experienced in technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, cloud technologies and architectures
• Good knowledge on CentOS, RHEL
• Experienced in an CI/CD environment with a good understanding of change/version control process and methodologies
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IAC) and cloud computing operations
• Familiar with using modern toolset (e.g Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Gitlab, JIRA, Confluence, JIRA, Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx, HAProxy, Redis, etc)
• Familiar with operating and configuration of log management tool (Graylog, Splunk)
