[What we are looking for]

Resourcefulness, integrity, drive, and a good team player are must-haves. Some combination of the following would help for favourable consideration:

• At least 3 years of experience as a software developer or equivalent position

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines

• Experience with cloud-based application development and web security

• Experience in gathering user’s requirements – clarifying them with Product Owners and Designers through high fidelity mock-ups or prototypes

• Experience in agile development teams, employing relevant methodologies and practices such as Scrum, Continuous Integration and Deployment to enable rapid delivery of value such as scripts for automated testing tools, scripts for configuration management

• Knowledge of modern Software Engineering best practices, software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Proficiency in:

(a) C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. Proficiency in other modern programming languages is a plus.
(b) Relational and non-relational databases, such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc
(c) Front-end frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Angular 2

• Deploying and maintaining content management systems and web applications in the cloud

• Curious, inquisitive, keen and quick to learn, and generous and patient to share knowledge with team mates and mentor fellow developers

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Spark, Python, and PySpark.

Ensure the smooth flow of data from various sources to destination systems.

Utilize SAS, Spark, Python, and PySpark for efficient data processing.

Design and implement data models to support business requirements.

Work closely with data architects to ensure data models align with organizational needs.

Implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Adhere to data governance policies and maintain data integrity.

Optimize data processing and query performance using Spark, Python, and PySpark.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the data pipeline.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in Hadoop Implementation, Scala, Spark, Python, and PySpark.

Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing.

Proficient in, Spark, Python, and PySpark.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Familiarity with data security and privacy best practices.

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• To plan, lead, execute and review work activities and projects (on-site)
• Co-ordinate and provide consultancy for environmental sustainable development projects.
• Preparation of design and technical specifications for tenders.
• Involved in energy audit, Green Mark assessment and LEED Certification
• Collaborate with your peers and ensure all assigned projects and contractual obligation are met within timely completion schedule and ensure delivery of quality service for clients.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Sustainable Building Design
• At least 7-8 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to perform building energy saving calculations and sustainable simulation
