• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Job Description:

• Minimum 8 years of architectural experience with recognised Diploma in relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience in construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity in local context.

• Work as Resident Technical Officer to our LTA projects, to assist and report to RE and SRE to monitor all site activities, and any incident, including near-misses. Report any non-compliance to RE and Qualified Person Supervision (QPS).

• Assist Engineer in carrying out supervision for related works include but not limited to replacement and extension, construction and reconfiguration of viaduct/ bridge works, and associated civil works, proposed new flexible pavement and infrastructure, re-alignment of roadways, fencing and construction.

• Prepare daily reports at regular basic and as required by clients.

• Supervise all construction activities and ensure compliance to all plans/drawings, risk assessment and specifications.

• Willing to work on rotation shifts.

• Ensure compliance to all health and safety policies.

• Ensure that contractor and their subcontractor comply with client's safety requirement, and safety checklists are follow.

• Reject poor quality of works at site and inform RE to raise non-conformance notice.

• Assist RE to manage and maintain records and documentation on field or site changes and to monitor adherence to construction schedule.

• Carry out standing supervision for critical site activities based.

• Preferably PR and Singaporean.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist M&E Engineer, Superintending Officer Representation (SO Rep) and Resident Engineer (RE) in the supervision and quality assurance of construction works on site
2. Provide standing supervision as and when required by the M&E Engineer, SO Rep and RE
3. To ensure all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications
4. Liaise with the Contractors/ sub-contractors and other Resident Technical Officers (RTO) in the coordination of site works
5. Highlight discrepancies, resolve site M&E issues and monitor site progress
6. Feedback site progress and irregularities to M&E Engineer, SO Rep and RE
7. Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning
8. To check as-built drawings to tally with site installation
9. Ensure the contractors maintain work safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site
10. Documentation of site records, ie. Inspection records, T&C records, site meetings etc.
11. Aware of the potential and actual OH&S hazards of his activities at the workplace and to highlight / communicate to the PM when he knows of any irregularities. He shall be aware of his individual OH&S obligations by ensuring that he is adequately equipped with appropriate safety gears, by observing closely to all safety rules / regulations / procedures at site and by attending all relevant site safety trainings.

Requirements

1. Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical or Building Services Engineering from local Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing
2. Minimum eight (8) years of M&E work experience as a Resident Technical Officer
3. Conversant in local construction practices, air-conditioning, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services.
4. Good co-ordination skills
5. Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.

7. Past work experience in healthcare/residential/institutional projects is preferred.

1. Responsible for the overall management and technical operations of our fleet Ships. This includes overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections and docking, etc.

2. Perform budgeting and cost control measures on ship spares.

3. Perform monthly review of logs, processes and attend to vessel inspections

4. Monitor technical status of vessel with relation to class certification and survey

5. Supervise Technical Managers repair/maintenance of vessels

6. Perform technical compliance audits and investigation on defects/failures on a regular scheduled basis to ensure conformance

7. Perform systematic review of recommended codes, guidelines and standards and ensure compliance with Quality & Safety Management standards

8. Present Monthly Management Review report on Fleet Performance

9. Liaise with Charterers on technical and operational matters including vessel performance, etc.

10. Identify and source for technical and operational supplies required for the vessels and ensure the rates are most economical.

11. Ensure that all copies of statutory, SOLAS and equipment certificates (life rafts, compasses, etc.) are properly maintained and documented.

12. Provide technical assistance and advice to ships both at home port and overseas.

13. Perform evaluation for dry-docking, repair quotes and selection of shipyards for repair works, ship maintenance etc.

14. Attend to vessel dry docking, repairs and survey when required and determine repair specifications for dry docking and maintenance.

15. Provide and compile documented reports upon completion of dry docking, including summaries of works performed, operational budgets, and actual expenditures.

16. Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when advised by the Organization.
