The Service Engineer is responsible for providing ocean going vessels with on-site and remote technical assistance regarding water and chemical treatment asset protection program adherence, energy management programs, cleaning solutions, welding, refrigeration and sealing products and installation services and repair of equipment. We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to help with the acceleration of cloud adoption. The applicant will have a strong background in IT Infrastructure with a strong understanding and at least 3 years’ experience with Public, Private and hybrid cloud.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using AWS or Google Cloud.

• Ensure compliance with asset management regulations in relevant countries.

• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and security.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues promptly.

• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.

• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.

• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company policies and security guidelines.

• Developing, deploying and debugging IaC code (Cloud formation and Terraform).

• Interacting with users, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on user needs.

• Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems.

• Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.

• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related

field.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and cost management.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools

Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell

Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect)

• 3-7 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS or Google Cloud.

• Experience in the financial services industry.

• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and cost management.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

• Familiarity with asset management regulations in countries where UOB Asset Management operates.

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
