Job description:

- To manage the daily operation of the number of vessels assigned to him in accordance with HSSEQ System

- Plan, manage, monitor and execute vessels repairs, dry dockings and conversions within agreed budgets

- Monitor the vessels performance trend and take necessary remedial actions to optimize vessel’s operations.·

- Collection, Evaluation of Emission control / compliance data from ships and approval from relevant authorities (SEEMP/EEXI/CII)

- Follow up class and statutory certification status, condition of class and arrange for the necessary surveys (flag state, certification for Panama Canal etc.)

- Visit vessels regularly (at least two times a year, in Port + Sailing), prepare visit reports and follow up with closure of deficiencies observed

- Prepare biannual, triannual or quarterly management reports, as agreed with each Principal, for the General Manager’s approval.

- Maintain strict cost control of the Annual Operating Budget for each of the assigned vessels.

- Review monthly cost control and approve monthly financial reports before sending to Technical Manager for review.

- Actively participate in training and education of new crew and Office Staff joining ASL.

- Assists SIRE inspection, TMSA audits.

Job requirements:

- Must hold a Marine Engineer Class 1 (Chief Engineer Unlimited) Certificate.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tanker operations is mandatory.

- At least 2 years of sea-going experience as a Chief Engineer on LPG or Oil tankers is required.

- Previous experience working as a Technical Superintendent is preferred, particularly with tankers (LPG/Oil).

- Ability to travel on short notice as required by operational demands.

- Strong understanding of maritime safety regulations and compliance standards.

- Proficient in risk assessment and accident investigation procedures.

- Familiarity with budget management and cost control related to vessel operations.

- Capability to liaise effectively with ship staff, including Chief Engineers and Master Mariners, to ensure smooth operations.

Able to start work within short notice will be highly advantageous.

Job Description:

• Understanding of Project Specifications, construction drawings and to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client’s requirements

16.Prepare Engineering book to include technical information regarding Router / Switcher I/O, Distribution assignments, cabin/room layouts etc. 17.Create a timeline for project preparation and set the targets. Adjust based on any changes subjected to availability of engineers at the base, shipping schedules, deliverables or scope of the projects.

18.Communicate with Equipment Planner, Warehouse and Engineering Department to monitor the project and ensure it is on the right track.

19.Check the equipment packing list and ensure that it matches the expanded list.

20.Sign off and approve the Packing List to be used for a project.

21.Prepare Production and Technical Integration Layout for each project with relevant technical information and ensure relevant parties receive it before project.

22. Be part of the Support Team during project by monitoring the support email and respond to communications received.

After Project

23. Conduct post-project evaluation on technical performance and issues encountered and suggest possible improvements for the next project.
