Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge software solutions tailored for high-tech products in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Collaborating closely with the Software Manager and an Agile Scrum team, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust software applications that integrate seamlessly with advanced hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and develop cutting-edge algorithms for image processing, machine learning, and deep learning.

• Implement, integrate, and optimize these algorithms in mission-critical software to leverage high-performance hardware.

• Work closely with team members in a Scrum environment, reporting progress to the Software Manager.

• Write, debug, and maintain high-quality source code, and conduct comprehensive unit testing to ensure software robustness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Digital Signal Processing, or a related field from a reputable institution.
• At east 5 years of experience developing, implementing, and integrating algorithms in image processing and deep learning.
• Skilled in programming in C# or C++ (minimum 5 years in at least one language) and Python.
• Familiarity with prevailing AI development environments, model training tools, open-source neural networks, and inference technologies.
• Solid understanding of machine vision technologies.
• Familiarity with capital equipment especially defect inspection and metrology machines.
• Expertise in GPU acceleration programming (CUDA) is highly valued.
• Familiarity with working in Scrum Agile development teams is preferred.

Liaison with Subcontractors:

• Coordinate with subcontractors for project updates and service execution, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
• Monitor subcontractor performance to uphold quality and safety standards.

Client Interaction:

• Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding service inquiries and project progress.
• Attend client meetings to discuss project requirements, timelines, and address any concerns.

Project Management:

• Track and manage service projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client specifications.
• Assist in preparing and submitting project documentation, including service reports and compliance materials.

Coordination of Meetings:

• Organize and participate in internal and external meetings to discuss project status and resolve issues.
• Prepare agendas and meeting notes, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.

Job Description

• Develops and manages new designs in accordance with project requirements and objectives, while adhering to project milestones and schedule.
• Conduct feasibility studies, FMEA, cost analysis and material selection to support design decisions.
• Collaborate closely manufacturers, and suppliers to address technical challenges through DFM & DFA and ensure successful implementation of designs.
• Prepare and present design proposals, progress reports, and project updates to stakeholders, while abiding to timely delivery within project’s budget.
• Utilizes SolidWorks software to generate detailed 3D models and technical drawings for prototypes and production.
• Setup test plans using DOE methodology, analyze test results and iterate design to meet performance and quality standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering is required.
• Min 3 years’ design experience in a product development environment, contributing to a product’s successful delivery into series production will be preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and technical drawings, SolidWorks knowledge will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. Knowledge in machining, metal forming, heat treatment and casting are preferred.
• Knowledgeable in design principles, such as springs, bearings and hydraulics, and in theoretical calculations related to the field of statics, dynamics and kinematics.
• Keen interest and experience in a hands on approach towards the construction of prototypes and testing.
