- Ability to tackle technical challenges and problem solving skills.

- Good communication skills and a team-player mindset.

- Profiency in communicate with both English and Chinese.

- Experience in robotic systems integration with industry background

The Technical Superintendent/Senior Technical Superintendent has the overall responsibility for the safe, economic and efficient operation of vessels assigned. He/She ensures ships are managed and operated in accordance with organisational policies, operating procedures and management systems. He/She is also alert to analyse risks and ensures compliance to the organisation's risk management framework.

The Technical Superintendent/Senior Technical Superintendent ensures that all procedures are adhered to and comply with International Safety Management (ISM) and classification rules. He/She may also be required to liaise directly with the ship-owner and respond to any charter or technical and operational queries.

The Technical Superintendent/Senior Technical Superintendent possesses a strong understanding of the technical knowledge of ships and keeps abreast of industry standards and regulations. He/She is well organised, is able to work in a team and may occasionally be required to sail onboard ships.

• Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Information/Data/application security

• Proficiency in security assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, Metaspoilt) is mandatory.

• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs , IDS/IPS, and

security best practices.

• Experience with incident response and security incident management.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks.

• Candidates must be able/well verse in Speaking, Writing, Reading in Mandarin and English

Ideally, the candidate should possess

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• Technology Strategy: Define and drive the technology roadmap for the microservices platform. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in the microservices, front-end, and back-end development ecosystem.
• System Integration: Design and oversee the integration of various services, ensuring seamless communication between microservices, and the front-end.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the system. Optimize the architecture for speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Security: Implement security best practices across the architecture, ensuring data protection and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams. Review and approve design and code to ensure adherence to architectural standards .

Required skills

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, GraphQL, and other integration patterns.
• Proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernete
• Familiarity with database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud architecture, microservices, or related fields are desirable.
• Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization protocols like OAuth, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience in leading large-scale enterprise projects.
