Position Overview:

The Principal Electronics Engineer is a senior leadership role within EOS Defence Systems (EOS DS) and is responsible for solving problems using disciplined engineering techniques (e.g., software, mechanical, electronics, system, testing, project etc) to assure and advise on the development and/or delivery of products. • Understanding and implementing rigorous quality control processes and reviewing design /engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness regard to customer specification requirement.

Your background:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in Engineering. Proven experience in System Design for Medium & Low voltage systems is preferred. Those with retrofitting knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Electrical Design principles, Power Electronics, PLC, integration of Systems and mechanical.
• Knowledge and experience in network technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, CANBUS, etc.), PLC programming and knowledge on various devices such as SCADA, VFD, HMI.
• Experience or knowledge in crane operation design, VSD, Motor & IEC 61131-3 PLC Programming language will be advantage.
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
