Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. With manufacturing cost multiple times lower than companies using a traditional robotic arm, our robots have an ROI in weeks. Job Summary:

We are seeking to employ suitably qualified and experienced Senior Academic Support staff to join dedicated teams of professionals in the Arts Faculty.

The appointee is to support the Senior School Music Department’s extensive Music curriculum, extra- curricular and performance schedule. The role will require excellent piano accompanying skills and strong ensemble and composition/arranging skills. The role will require accompanying ensembles and leading and developing performance opportunities for students within the Senior School. The role will require arranging and sequencing music for a wide range of ensembles and groups and promoting an inclusive musical environment where students are encouraged to take risks and enjoy performing for each other.

The appointee will also support Music staff in curriculum lessons for an average of 14 hours per week, ranging from ages 11-18 years old. The appointee will be responsible for organising and promoting the annual ‘Battle of the Bands’ with support from the Music Department and lead some agreed Music Co-Curriculum Activities. The Department currently organises around 20 musical events running throughout the School Year.

The appointee reports to Head of Faculty – Arts through Assistant Head of Faculty (Music) and Music Specialist.

Requirements:

• Minimum diploma qualification, major in Arts or Music
• Excellent piano skills with strong ensemble and arranging skills
• Previous experience of supporting learning in music, or a professional or educational background in arts, is an added advantage
• Excellent English, interpersonal, organisation, and communication skills
• Able to adapt to different students of a range of ages and to different teaching styles
• Sound Microsoft Office knowledge; proficient computer usage
• Ability to work independently and as a positive team player
• Enthusiasm for working with students and teachers

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm depending on daily music activities with a 45-minute lunch/rest break. There is a requirement to work and support at music events which may take place in the evening or weekends as part of the school Calendar of Events and agreed at the start of the Academic Year. Any overtime or additional hours worked beyond contractual hours will be paid or granted in accordance with the policy/guidelines stipulated in the Staff Handbook. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with customer NPI engineer to understand the newly introduced product base on the design requirement, pre-review the process and actively feedback for potential improvement, and ensure flawless transfer.
