Responsibilities:

Customer Service (60%)

• Represent OMEGA in dealing with customers’ concerns.
• To provide quality support to customers’ technical enquiries.
• To communicate with customers on his needs and request for service.

Job Description & Requirements

The Projetc Engineer/Manager shall play a key role in assisting the senior project Manager ; the conceptual development of the various construction projects and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.

He/she will need to plan, lead and monitor progress and performance against the project plan whilst managing the day-to-day operational aspects of projects which includes manpower planning, construction progress monitoring, preparation of master schedule and cost control.

Job Description:

• Quotation and Tender Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed quotations for clients, ensuring alignment with project specifications, costs, and timelines.
• Tender Submission: Prepare and submit tender documents for projects, ensuring all requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to.
• Cost Estimation: Analyze project details to estimate costs for materials, labor, and other resources, ensuring competitiveness and accuracy.
• Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to gather necessary pricing and technical details for tenders.
• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance in reviewing and responding to project inquiries, ensuring the right solutions are proposed.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of quotations, tenders, and all related correspondence.
• Follow-up and Feedback: Follow up with clients post-submission to address any questions or revisions needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Senior Manager in managing the safe, effective and efficient preparation, cleaning
  and repair of passenger trains so that the required number of trains is continuously provided
  for passenger service
• Manages, leads and motivates a group of Senior / Assistant Engineers and Senior / Technicians
  in the corrective and preventive maintenance of the DTL passenger trains
• Provides technical investigations and analyze structural, system or component problems on
  rolling stock and recommend solutions and trials
• Leads the reliability growth programme for DTL passenger trains
• Supervises and co-ordinates implementation of modification works and fleet-wide checks
• Monitors the performance of trial modifications and prepare reports recommending adoption
  or rejection of fleet-wide implementation
• Identifies staff’s training needs and implement training schemes. Identifies any hazards and
  implement control measures
• Maintains maintenance records and documentation in accordance with quality standards and
  procedures
• Act as Duty Rolling Stock Engineer on 24-hour call when required
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by Senior Manager and Deputy/HOD
• Investigates safety incidents that have occurred on train and clear them when appropriate
  action has been taken
• Monitors safety performance of trains and staff to seek areas for improvement
• Ensures all maintenance work is done safely at all times
• Undertakes monthly safety inspections as directed by HOD

Requirement

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Preferably at least 5 years of post-graduate working experience, with 3 years of relevant working experience in railway environment
• Strong people, planning and organizing skills
• Good analytical skills for problem-solving
• Good understanding of budgeting and financial control
• Strong commitment and strong sense of responsibility
• Resourceful, self-motivated and takes initiatives
• Result-oriented and able to work independent with minimum supervision

Salary: $3500 to $4500
Location: Work site at Central region
Work Days: 6 Days (8am to 5pm alternate Saturday off)

Responsibilities:
• Manage the project site by overseeing the day-to-day site operation and activities.
• Plan, implement and monitor the work schedules according to the master and detailed work programmes.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning and sequencing of the construction operations according to the Project Quality Plan.
• Liaise with client's representatives on site, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Conduct inspections and checking on work performed by sub-contractors.
• Assist Project Manager in the evaluation and resolution of any discrepancies and problems arising during construction and which has an effect on quality of the works.
• Ensure that only updated construction drawings and approved shop drawings are used by all for construction.
• Co-ordinate the handing over of completed works to the client and completion of the necessary rectification works.
• Update the status of materials stock balance and advises Project Manager when to place replenishment orders.
• Any duties to be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:
• Minimum Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by the PEB Approved Qualifications / BOA Approved Qualifications
• At least 2 to 3 years relevant working experiences managing construction project on sites
• Candidates without relevant experience but with the required qualifications are encouraged to apply
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and knowledge of BIM
• Good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
