• Ensure legal compliance for all activities within relevant regulatory framework and PaxOcean’s HSE Management System
• Support HSE Manager to implement and execute HSE Programs & Initiatives
• Plan, conduct and participate in audits to identify potential areas of improvement and best practices.
• Organise and conduct regular HSE site inspections with all relevant stakeholders and follow up on all identified non-conformances
• Function as a safety assessor as per relevant regulatory requirements
• Function as a Site Incident Controller (SIC) and lead the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) during emergency situations
• To serve as secretary for the Vessel Safety Coordination Committee (VSCC) for all assigned projects
• Initiate and conduct investigation for the purpose of identifying root causes upon any occurrences
• Liaise with relevant authorities as point of contact representing PaxOcean
• Any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by HSE Head

Tasks:

● Develop and implement SLAM algorithms for accurate simultaneous localization and

mapping of autonomous robots in outdoor environments..

● Integrate sensor data from various sources (lidar, cameras, IMUs, wheel encoders) to

improve SLAM performance and accuracy.

● Utilize calibration techniques to ensure accurate sensor data fusion for SLAM.

● Collaborate with other team members to ensure overall system integration and

functionality.

Education:

● A bachelor's or master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, or a related field is typically required.

Technical Skills:

● SLAM algorithms: Proficiency in developing and implementing SLAM

techniques such as EKF-SLAM, Graph SLAM, or FastSLAM.

● Sensor fusion: Experience with integrating data from sensors such as lidar,

cameras, IMUs, and wheel encoders for accurate localization and mapping.

● Robotics: In-depth understanding of robotic systems, kinematics, dynamics,

and control theory.

● Programming languages: Proficiency in languages commonly used in

robotics, such as C++, Python, or ROS (Robot Operating System).

● Simulation tools: Experience with robotic simulation frameworks like Gazebo

or V-REP.

● Problem-solving and analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving

abilities are vital for identifying issues, debugging complex systems, and

proposing effective solutions.

● Communication and teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication

skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document technical

specifications, and present findings effectively.

Experience:

● SLAM implementation: Prior experience in developing SLAM algorithms and

systems for autonomous robots.

● Sensor integration: Knowledge of integrating sensor data from various

sources to improve SLAM performance.

● ROS: Practical experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS) for robotic

software development and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams.
• Design and oversee the electronics hardware design activities of the whole product.
• Select electrical/electronics components for new product development, and replacement for existing products as well.
• Conduct electrical testing and troubleshoot systems to ensure functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical) on product development.
• Liaise with supplier and operation for design improvement.
• Provide technical support of products introduced into both the domestic and international markets.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive cost optimization, manufacturability, quality and reliability.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Proficient in electrical design software tools
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and circuit design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with hardware testing, troubleshooting, and equipment commissioning.
• Experience in microcontroller platform hardware design is a plus
• Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
