We are seeking a dedicated Support Engineer professional to join our team to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to collaborate with various departments to support and maintain our software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues (Linux VMs, Vendor Product, SFTP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions to prevent future issues.
• Create and maintain documentation related to production issues and resolutions via JIRA.
• Implement and maintain processes and procedures to improve production support.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system performance and issue status.
• Ensure proper deployment and release of software updates & infrastructure patches/upgrades.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production issues after business hours. There are two shifts, Morning (7 AM to 4 PM) and Afternoon (2 PM to 11 PM), running 7 days a week.
• Deployments during silent hours.
• Development work within the vendor product (about 10%-20% of time).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Job Description:

Description of Responsibilities and Duties

1. Plan and execute corrective/preventive maintenance on facility equipment and plant equipment to ensure good efficiency and availability. Generate equipment and facilities related records/reports/ documentations on above activities.
2. Implement TPM strategy. Responsible for tracking machinery spare parts usage, maintaining adequate quantity, critical parts requirement, spare parts management, continuous improvement, and ISO audits.
3. Support EHSS related topics, ensure site is in full compliance with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Security regulation and policy.
4. Resolve various equipment performance issues internally before approaching equipment vendor. Review equipment log and technician feedback for quick solutions.
5. Liaise and co-ordinate jobs to be performed by contractors for facilities and plant equipment. Ensure work completion and achieve high standard of work.
6. Perform site EHSS inspection/audits and ensure that all corrective / preventive actions are close in timely manner. Responsible for internal/external audits and EHSS activities.
7. Interpret electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings for equipment troubleshooting with at least 3 years hand-on experience
8. Evaluate existing/new contractors’ performance and negotiate with them on quotations and service level.

Knowledge:

• Hands on experience in mixer and milling equipment maintenance is an advantage.
• Knowledge in TMP, Equipment FMEA is an advantage.
• Knowledge in facilities maintenance (Electrical, water, AC) is an advantage.
• EHS competence, familiar with ISO45001 & ISO14000 is a plus.

Skills:

As a Retrofit Engineer, you will be responsible for:

This role supports the Project Manager. It involves the planning and co-ordination of site work. The person in this role needs to be good at communication and obtaining feedback. Instructions must be given to site personnel in a manner that is easy to understand and the person needs to ensure his instructions are understood correctly. This person will also help the Project Manager with any issues that may arise on site.

- Please note that site can be by the roadsides, at substations or in tunnels. There will be some exposure to the elements.

- Process for application: Road Opening application, NCE, Purchase of Services Plan, Prepare drawing submission
- Monitor and submit site progress reports

Requirements:
- Possess certificate "Manage Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites (or Construction Safety Course for Project Managers)".

- Required to sign Permit To Work.
- Proven track record with SP group's projects in high voltage power cable installations.

Key Accountabilities: ​

Sales Engineering and Application Matters

• Provides the design, drawing and documents for the customer’s technical requirements.
• Calculates, verifies, selects the right equipment/suppliers.
• Provides the technical specifications and defines the scope of supply for the equipment.
• Provides and maintains the product and sales engineering information.
• Uses the computerized engineering tools/database, technical library information and factory standards for the engineering work.
• Prepares and carries out technical presentations and training.
• Familiarize oneself with the applicable international and in country technical standards.

Sales Support Matters

• Work closely with sales to define the technical scope of supply.
• Reviews/clarify customer’s specifications & tender documents.
• Provides technical solutions and scope of supply.
• Coordinates with factory and local suppliers for scope of supply.
• Provides total product and project cost calculation.
• Provides technical specs, scope of supply and work with suppliers/contractors to obtain proposals and quote for the equipment timely.

Order Execution

• Raises the necessary purchase requisitions for the scope of supply.
• Manages the order with internal departments, suppliers and contractors till all contractual requirements are fulfilled.
• Verify on the clarification of the order, sales engineering, and drawings/documents.
• Knowledge in SAP tool

Qualifications and Skills:

• University / college studies in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Experience in the diesel/gas engine/generator industry, min. 7 years.
• Hands on experience on engineering, site supervision and commissioning of diesel genset with knowledge of electrical power systems and genset control system
• Knowledge of engineering calculation for and related to genset and electrical systems.
• Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&ID and system layouts.
• Knowledge and Project execution in the packaging and testing of genset.
• Knowledge in Autocad would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of switchgear and electrical power protection would be an added advantage.
• Adaptable to different cultures and business practice
• Excellent team player with an open mindset, collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive and positive attitude.
• Proficient in English language. Fluent in Mandarin would be an added advantage.

• Reports to Utility Manager
• Coordination between sub-contractors and construction team on excavation works, services diversion, and reinstatement works.
• Provide update of the progress of works in the construction site.
• Supervise subcontractors’ works as per work plan, timeframe, and as per required quality standard of work output.
• Monitor utilities and M&E work executed are in accordance to statutory requirements, construction procedures, and safe work practices.
• Assist other Engineers in preparing the programming of works, scheduling, and monitoring the progress plan.

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experiences as Utility Engineer
• Candidate with relevant LTA infrastructure project experience is an advantage
