The Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to contribute to developing integrated smart manufacturing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust full-stack applications using .NET C# and Angular
• Develop scalable microservice architectures, and implement containerization and container orchestration
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities within manufacturing software, ensuring seamless interoperability across the ecosystem
• Implement efficient data management and real-time processing solutions, adhering to best practices in cloud-native software design
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical solutions with business requirements, evaluating and recommending appropriate technologies

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend .NET C# and frontend Angular
• Proficient in designing and implementing maintainable, scalable, and secure software architectures
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and the ability to leverage cloud services from AWS or Azure
• Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and the ability to integrate AI capabilities within manufacturing software

Required Education and Skills

• Experience and strong interest in solving practical problems, from invention to implementation in the field
• An excellent publication and patent record consistent with experience.
• Extensive knowledge in control theory, such as modern control, adaptive control, robust control, nonlinear control, optimal control, Model Predictive Control, etc., with outstanding ability to identify the proper control method for solving practical control problems and, when necessary, to develop new control methods, and/or
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in the application of Data Analytics including machine learning techniques such as SVM, Neuro Network, Bayes network, Genetic Algorithms, etc., preferably with control applications, and/or
• Knowledge of robotic systems with high DoF control, path planning, mechatronics, or dynamic modeling of complex systems
• Demonstrated teamwork, strong communication skills, and collaborative in complex engineering projects

• Worked with large data sets, unstructured data, structured data and supporting compute/cloud systems like Microsoft Azure

JOB SUMMARY

Under general direction, the Technical Sales Manager is responsible for managing the technical sales aspects including segment, product line & technology packages, and all relevant technical supporting activities throughout the entire sales process. Successful activities include: collaborating within the sales organization on new customer opportunities, building strong customer relationships, technology training, collecting & analyzing customer/market insights to identify winning technology solutions, and supporting strategic sales growth initiatives. This is a key role within our organization advising and guiding the technical aspects of the sales process while working within a close collaboration with Global Technical Sales Managers (TSMs) to ensure alignment and leverage global insights and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 5+ years Engineering or Operations experience within the Oilseeds complex, preferably in an Oilseeds Crushing or Vegetable Oil Refining, Palm Processing, Biodiesel, and/or Oleochemical business.
