The SAAC Engineer handles security operations, oversees officers, ensures systems, and supports compliance under EHSS leadership.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Security Operations:

- Develop and implement security protocols to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and property.
- Oversee and coordinate the deployment and performance of security officers provided by external security agencies.

Technical Understanding

• Understands the drawings and scope of works
• Understand the implications of different technical choices so as to meet the project objectives.
• Involving in providing value engineering solutions basing on his knowledge.
• To have knowledge in the preparation of engineering project proposals and method statements.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent (Recognized by PEB).
• Experience in leading a team or subcontractors would be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills.
• Highly committed and motivated individual.
• Versed in PUB(WRN) projects with more than 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is an advantage.
• Candidate with comparable qualification will be considered for Project Manager post.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate Mechanical and Electrical services with consultant and sub-contractors on site.
• Oversee all related M&E issues on site.
• Assists Manager in the co-ordination of project management activities.
• Attends external project meetings, meetings with consultants as well as technical and co-ordination meetings, daily project meetings and internal project closure meeting.
• Assists Manager in carrying out all shop drawings and submission with Drafting Department.
• Ensures the adherence to the Safe work procedure (SWP).
• Ensures the timely preparation of project progress and other reports.
• Follows up on all aspects of QA/QC matters; records all defects works and ensure proper documentation.
• Orders materials required for projects.

Job Requirements

• Degree in electrical/mechanical/electronics engineering or relevant qualification.
• At least 4 year(s) of M&E working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Familiar with construction site activities.
• Work Location: West Region

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems, for industrial facilities
• Ensure designs adhere to security-by-design principles and industry standards
• Conduct site assessments to identify security risks and recommend appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to clients and site team to ensure seamless integration of security systems
• Prepare technical documentation and reports as required
• Any other duties to be assigned from time to time

Pre-requisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on physical security systems in industrial plants or similar settings
• Knowledge of security-by-design principles and best practices
• Familiarity with industry standards for security systems (e.g., ISO 27001, UL 294)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
