Technical Superintendent for the either one of the following vessels: Tankers / Containers / Offshore / LPG / Engine

Responsibilities:

• Maintain vessels to the requirement of Classification Society, Flag state, Port State, Oil majors and state regulations that the vessels are plying.
• Execute planned maintenance system and ensure compliance.
• Approve and monitor repairs, prepare purchase order and works order.
• Prepare dry-docking / repair specifications and monitor work progress.
• Maintain vessel allocated budget and meet operational standard as required by Owners.
• Carry out internal audits, risk assessment, incident investigation and closing out report.
• Attend to all inspections by Class Society, Flag State, Port State, Underwriters and Oil Majors.
• Liaise with Terminal Representative, Charterers, Agents, Operators and Fujairah Freezone Official.
• At the branch office, to be the first point of contact for vessel matters.
• Assist Crew Department in coordinating crew matters.

Requirements:

• COC Class 1,2 or 3 holders with sailing experience
• Minimum 2 years experience ashore as a Technical Superintendent
• Familiar with Oil Majors vettings and inspections requirements
• Knowledge in PMS, SMS, Flag and Class requirements

• Assist Building Manager in the daily operations.
• Supervise, plan and organize a team of on-site contractors in carrying out planned and ad-hoc maintenance works.
• Investigate, check and analyze reported breakdowns & faults to determine their cause for the prevention of future occurrences.
• Supervise upgrading projects, if required
• Carry out regular inspection to the facilities and systems and ensure their functionality and reliability.
• Communicate well in English (both spoken and written) and is expected to establish good working rapport with stakeholders.
• Ensure contractors carry out works in accordance with contract requirements, including evaluation of contractors’ performance and review of contract specifications.
• Follow up with term contractors on defects rectification after servicing work.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holder in building maintenance facility/mechanical/electrical/real estate management/ Civil/ Structural.
• Minimum 3 years in relevant working experience.
• Preferred with working experience in government project.
