Overview

As a Senior Technical Engineer of Alola, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and scaling our digital travel platform with a particular focus on integrating AI-driven solutions. You will lead the development of high-performance systems and features, including knowledge of vector databases, building intelligent systems that personalize the user experience, optimizing processes, ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. Key Responsibilities

System Design & Development:

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance systems and features for web and mobile platforms, including AI-powered recommendation systems, booking engines, and real-time data integrations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including 2+ years in AI/ML development.

Role:

Technical Support Chemist (Segregation / Up to $3600)

Job scope
To supervise and support the functions of incoming waste segregation including bulk waste and loose waste as well as weighbridge.

Your Impact

• Provide Tier-3 Technical Support to customers and partners across JAPAC
• Provide configurations, troubleshooting and best practices to customers
• Manage support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner
• Provide fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issues
• Publish Technical Support Bulletins and other technical documentation in the Knowledge Base
• Review of technical documentation for training materials, technical marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc.
• Travel to customer sites in the event of a critical situation to expedite resolution as required
• Provide on-call support 24x7 on an as-needed basis

Your Experience

Minimum (Must Have)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Technical Support environment
• Expertise with Network Protocols and Technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, IP routing, HTTP/HTTPS, Remote Access VPN solutions, IPSEC, PKI & SSL, Authentication Protocols (LDAP, RADIUS, etc.)
• Strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols required
• Flexibility to work shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Attention to detail, fast learner and excellent communication skills - Be able to communicate technical information in a simplified, easy to understand manner
• Demonstrate ability to work in a cross functional environment which involves coordination with different teams such as Sales/Pre Sales/Product Management/Engineering
• Virtualization experience (AWS, Azure, VMWare, OpenStack)
• Experience working with a multi-factor authentication (MFA) security system (tokens, certificates, CAC cards, and similar)
• Experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper (Netscreen), and Fortinet products
• Experience working with Firewall Central Management Systems
• Experience with Windows and MAC OS (Debugging, Editing Registries, Plist, etc.)
• Mandarin, Japanese or Korean language skills would be advantageous, but not required.

Position Overview:

The Technical Officer – Facilities Management is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of all facilities and building systems. The role requires technical expertise in the management of building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire systems, and other mechanical systems. The Technical Officer will work closely with the Facilities Manager, contractors, and other team members to ensure that all maintenance and operational tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Operations

· Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the building’s systems and infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency.

· Perform regular inspections and diagnostics on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment.

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to building equipment and systems in a timely manner.

· Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and monitor work progress to minimize downtime.

· Ensure that all maintenance work meets applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

· Health & Safety Compliance

· Ensure that all building systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards, including fire safety, electrical safety, and environmental health requirements.

· Conduct risk assessments and assist in implementing corrective actions.

· Manage emergency systems such as backup generators, alarms, and fire suppression systems.

· Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

2. Technical Support & Expertise

· Provide technical guidance and expertise to facilities staff and contractors for specialized repairs and system upgrades.

· Monitor energy usage and identify opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements.

3. Vendor & Contractor Management

4. Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

· Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:

· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related technical field.

· Experience with building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems is required.

· Prior experience in managing maintenance schedules and supervising contractors is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in the operation, repair, and maintenance of building systems.
• Understanding of building codes, regulations, and health & safety requirements.
• Ability to use facilities management software and other relevant technology tools.

Working Conditions:

• Local design experience in C&S engineering work & conversant with Singapore Building Codes and Practices
• Familiarity with engineering software (e.g. Tedds, StaadPro, Prota, Etab) and submission procedures to regulatory authorities
• Strong report writing skills to prepare and furnish reports
