Implementation Support / Operations

· To provide support in the implementation and operation of all aspects of audio visual, video conference, display and presentation technologies used in the client’s premises.

· Assisting in the provision of support for internal and external events.

· To carry out routine testing of equipment to diagnose, log and report operational faults.

· Working with our team to assist in the diagnosis and rectification of faults to ensure that all systems are fully functional and that equipment and system down time are kept to a minimum.

· To ensure any paperwork is completed on time and filled out completely, as required.

· Support in-house Video Conferencing technology

· Clean and maintain audio and video equipment and ensure that they are stored properly

· Diagnose, test and resolve A/V equipment and media system problems as part of the regularly scheduled preventative maintenance cycle

· Operate and monitor equipment during meetings, such as sound levels, remote cameras, video playback, and webcasting

Maintenance

• Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure.
• To maintain records of equipment usage (when applicable), to make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment when necessary.
• Raise tickets for faults and liaise with relevant bodies for repairs of malfunctioning equipment
• Proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly.
• Assist with first line fault repairs
• To carry out scheduled maintenance checks (room checks/power downs) and to write technical reports based on test results

The Pre-Requisites:

• Responsible, self-motivated and a self-starter.
• Preferably at least two years of experience in the operation, engineering and / or installation of AV systems. A strong knowledge of audio, video and networking engineering fundamentals.
• Should have, if not all, most of the following industry certifications: Crestron, Zoom, QSC, Cisco, Shure, Poly
• Team player and can work independently

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.

L1 Support Engineer - Contract 1 year (FIRM) +1 year (OPTIONAL)

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Incident Logging and Ticket Handling: Log and process incidents, issues, and service requests submitted by users through phone or email in an incident management tool, resolving them in a timely and effective manner according to internal SLA. Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions to help improve future support processes.

b) Basic Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve common IT issues such as password resets,

software installations, network connectivity and end-user computing (EUC) problems.

c) Escalation: Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams (L2, management and/or vendor(s)) when necessary.

d) Customer Service: Ensure a positive user experience for staff and guests by maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.

e) User Account Management: Create, modify, and delete user accounts across various systems, ensuring proper access rights and procedures are followed. This includes setting permissions, resetting passwords, and ensuring compliance with client policies. Provide new staff with their account(s) on their first day, and ensure that all resigned staff have their accounts deleted / submitted for deletion (eg. to AIC) on their last day when they return their laptops.

f) IT Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software. This involves tracking the location, quantity, and status of assets, as well as monitoring software subscriptions and licenses to ensure compliance and avoid unnecessary costs and/or lapses. Ensuring sufficient assets are available for replacement, recommend tech refresh for equipment.

g) Device Management: Onboarding/Offboarding and assignment of User Devices (eg. mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) on client’s MDM and other platforms for device management. Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance on VMs, mobile phones and laptops to ensure serviceability; coordinate with vendors to facilitate/effect

repairs on devices as necessary.

h) Onboarding and Offboarding: Prepare/process IT assets such as laptops, desktops, and peripherals as they are acquired/procured; and conduct early setup of assets for new staff members before they are onboarded, with all necessary software and access

permissions configured. Safekeep and manage the return of IT assets from staff members who are offboarded, ensuring data is securely wiped and assets are ready for reallocation.

i) IT Asset Issuance: Manage the issuance and tracking of IT assets such as laptops, desktops, peripherals, licenses, and system accounts/access. Ensure proper documentation and inventory management to maintain accurate records of asset allocation and returns.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

• Higher NITEC in Electrical, Electronics, IT, Diploma, or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in IT system support and hardware maintenance.
• Minimum of 5+ years of L1 technical support experience in a large corporate infrastructure.
• Support experience in Active Directory, Entra, Intune; and use Fresh Service for ITSM and inventory, Windows servers, Hyper-V, Azure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-starter, self-motivated, and critical thinker who embraces challenges.
• Ability to work responsibly, independently, and in a team.

Key Responsibilities

1. 24x7 Operational Support:

· Ensure continuous system availability and lead system recovery during outages.

2. Technical Expertise:

· Investigate and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

· Leverage subject matter expertise for timely problem resolution.

3. Proactive Monitoring and Automation:

· Monitor system health checks and detect issues early.

· Automate routine monitoring tasks to enhance system stability and resiliency.

4. System Maintenance and Growth Management:

· Perform regular health and capacity assessments for the production environment.

· Address growth from Business-As-Usual (BAU) and project-related demands.

5. Incident Management:

· Oversee end-to-end incident handling, including investigation, service recovery, and follow-up actions.

· Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.

6. Collaboration with Infrastructure Teams:

· Partner with Middleware, Database Administrators (DBAs), and System Administrators (SAs) to troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure.

7. Application BAU and Projects:

· Manage BAU tasks such as Disaster Recovery exercises, responding to audit queries, and updating SOP documentation.

· Handle system upgrades for End-of-Service/End-of-Life (EOS/EOL) components.

8. Governance and Compliance:

· Enforce strong governance for Change Management, Data Protection, and Privileged ID access control.

9. Shift-Based Work:

· Provide on-site operational support according to a 5-day weekly shift roster.

· Compensatory weekdays off are provided for working on weekends or public holidays.

• Relevant computing/distributed/big data system experience (Hadoop/HDFS /Kubernetes/Docker/OpenStack/Hadoop/Spark/Flink,etc.) would be advantageous
• Good data structure and system design skills highly preferred
